The CEO of record label 1501 Certified ENT gave a shoutout to Megan Thee Stallion for their past collaboration in a reel posted on Instagram on June 3. In the caption, he said,

"GOD IS GOOD. Shoutout to Megan Thee Stallion. We had a little rough patch, but real ones always push through. Just got my new @riaa_awards plaques in...it's a blessing to keep growing and keep building."

Crawford also showed off Stallion's new plaques and praised her, expressing that he's grateful for the journey and the experiences, and noted that he can't wait to hang the plaques in his new studio. By rough patch, Crawford was allegedly hinting at a lawsuit, which Stallion settled with him about a contract dispute in October 2023.

While Crawford's message seemed genuine, Megan Thee Stallion has still not forgotten their legal feud and took to Hollywood Unlocked's Instagram post to comment on their reaction,

What happened between Megan Thee Stallion and Carl Crawford?

Megan Thee Stallion filed a civil lawsuit against Carl Crawford and his record label, 1501 Certified ENT, accusing the label of an "unconscionable" record deal in 2020, as per Billboard and Rolling Stone.

She updated her lawsuit with additional litigations in February 2022, where she claimed that 1501 was trying to hold her in the record deal after she released Something for Thee Hotties, which earlier the label had not counted toward her three-album contract requirement. 1501 countersued the rapper, with claims that the 29-minute project did not count as an album.

In another complaint filed by Stallion in August 2022, the rapper sought $1 million in damages from 1501. However, both parties settled the lawsuit in October 2023, and a statement provided to USA Today by Carl Crawford said that the two have resolved their "legal differences" and "both parties have agreed to amicably part ways."

Crawford's statement also mentioned,

"May this moment be a valuable lesson on the importance of reconciliation for the prosperity of hip-hop and pop culture."

He added that he was "honored to have worked" with the rapper and wished Megan all the best.
