Actress Beverly D’Angelo shared her thoughts about raising her children. The actress, who is known for her role in National Lampoon's Vacation, has two kids with actor Al Pacino. She was with Pacino from 1997 to 2003. In an exclusive interview with People Magazine published on November 24, she said:

“I did not raise my kids in that culture. If I would have been more focused, maybe I would have had a bigger career, but I was focused on my kids, to tell you the truth.”

In 2001, Beverly welcomed her twins Olivia and Anton. After her children were born, she decided to focus on them. She said:

“I had them so late, and it was like, ‘Well, been there, done that, let's do this.’”

Beverly D’Angelo has a net value of $20 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. In terms of real estate, the actress purchased a Beverly Hills residence in 2005 for $2.35 million. The property was listed for sale for $2.795 million in 2017.

Meanwhile, sharing her plans for the holiday season, the actress told the magazine:

“We're cooking-oriented. We're always cooking-oriented. I do a prosciutto-wrapped turkey. That's my big dish, and my son Anton is a big cook, and he's got all kinds of pasta dishes in his pocket.”

Beverly D’Angelo said she modelled Ellen Griswold on her mother

Beverly D’Angelo appeared on the Hardcore Italians Podcast earlier this year. Speaking about her character Ellen Griswold in the Vacation movie franchise, the actress said that she made some changes to her character. She said:

“First of all, I modeled it on my mom.”

She jokingly said that Ellen Groswold was the “original milf.” Sharing candid details about the first movie, she said:

“The first one was supposed to be a satire and then it was a big surprise that everybody was instead of laughing at the Griswolds, they identified with the Griswolds. That was a surprise to me. Chevy [Chase] claims he knew all along, but it was an R-rated film. It wasn't geared for families.”

Beverly D’Angelo opined that the movie was more like a romantic comedy. Looking back on her familial experiences, the actress remembered:

“I grew up witnessing a great love affair, but the concept of divorce or quitting or hey, that's not going to work for me that I wasn't exposed to that. It wasn't in our vocabulary. And so in that ways it was traditional but because there was such a great love between my mom and dad it didn't seem like a stretch.”

She then mentioned some of the scenes that she wanted to be changed. Beverly D’Angelo felt some of the changes made a great difference in the dynamics of her character.
