Brandon Blackstock is reportedly worth $10 million, while Kelly Clarkson’s fortune soared to $50 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Their relationship, which had lasted nearly seven years, came to an end in 2020 when Clarkson filed for divorce. In legal documents cited by Life & Style, the singer attributed the split to “irreconcilable differences.” The pair were declared legally single in August 2021, though it wasn’t until March 2022 that their divorce was officially finalized.

Clarkson was awarded primary custody of their children, with Brandon Blackstock receiving visitation rights one weekend a month. But the financial arrangements were anything but simple. Clarkson was ordered to pay $45,601 each month in child support, a figure that would remain in place until their children reached adulthood or graduated high school.

On top of that, she was required to pay $115,000 monthly in spousal support until early 2024. A lump-sum payment of $1,326,161, delivered tax-free, was also part of the settlement. During this period, Brandon Blackstock was allowed to remain on their Montana ranch, renting it for $12,000 a month plus utilities until June 2022. Later, he purchased a $1.8 million home in Butte, Montana, as reported by Us Weekly.

Kelly Clarkson made the difficult decision to hit pause on her Las Vegas residency, citing a private family matter involving her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The 43-year-old singer announced the postponement of the remaining August Studio Session shows at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum, as reported by E! News.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” Clarkson wrote in an emotional Instagram post dated August 6.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” she explained.

Clarkson shares two children, River Rose, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, with Brandon Blackstock, who is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed health condition. Although she didn’t reveal when the shows would be rescheduled, Ticketmaster had already listed 2026 dates on its site.

“I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,” she added.

Brandon Blackstock ordered to repay $2.6 Million to Kelly Clarkson in manager dispute

In November 2023, Kelly Clarkson emerged with a legal win after California’s labor commissioner determined that Brandon Blackstock had overstepped his boundaries as her manager by securing lucrative business deals without proper authority. The ruling ordered him to repay $2.6 million in commissions to Clarkson. Blackstock responded by filing an appeal.

While a trial was initially set for August 2024, both sides filed to dismiss the case just three months prior. Clarkson’s attorney, Ed F. McPherson, confirmed the development to ET, sharing,

“The case has been settled in its entirety. It is a confidential settlement.”

At the time of their separation, a source told ET that Kelly Clarkson and Blackstock had mutually agreed to part ways after recognizing that the relationship had not been working for some time.

“Kelly and Brandon work together non-stop, and that became a contention in their relationship. Brandon is the EP of her show as well as her manager. Also, Kelly has always brought up wanting more children, which Brandon doesn't,” the source shared.

Another individual involved with The Kelly Clarkson Show told ET that news of the divorce came as a surprise to many on set. “Everyone loves Brandon,” the source said.

“He's an integral part of the show. Everything is run by him and he's a hands-on decision maker, not just Kelly's husband-manager.”

After the split, Blackstock stepped down from his role as executive producer of the daytime talk show.
