In the new episode of her podcast, Dumb Blonde, Bunnie XO revealed something quite shocking to her fans.

Alisa “Bunnie Xo” DeFord, who is married to rapper Jelly Roll, dropped quite the bomb on her latest podcast episode. Alisa is allegedly headed to prison after in to serve time for driving for years with a suspended license, which she wasn't aware of. However, she is taking the whole situation quite good-naturedly as she jokes about taking "us", the listeners of the podcast along with her.
She explained,
“You guys, I’m going to jail.” Further adding, "Why would I not tell the internet this? I tell the internet everything anyways. So, uh, your girl got in trouble with the law.”
Bunnie XO then regaled the whole tale of how it went. According to what she said, she was recently pulled over by a police officer. When the officer ran her information, he found out that her license had been suspended due to an unpaid ticket she received in 2020. Alisa had no recollection of ever receiving this ticket.
“Do I remember getting this ticket? Absolutely not.”
However, she brushed it off, thinking it was not a big deal, especially since she paid off the ticket, until a few days back when she was pulled over for speeding and the police officer informed her that she was still driving on an invalid license.
“He’s like, ‘Sometime this week, you need to go down to the jail and book yourself in.’”
Alisa then casually expressed, “I got my lawyer on it, whatever. It looks like your girl is gonna have to go book herself in. If I do — you guys have seen all my past mugshots — I’m going in glammed the f–k up, baby, and I’m going to vlog it.”
Bunnie XO's criminal history
This is not the first time Bunnie XO has had a brush with the law. Earlier this month, she very candidly reflected on her past arrests and shared seven mugshots of herself from ages 19 to 26.
Along with the photos, she wrote a lengthy emotional caption,
"As the pics go on the eyes only get more sad, more broken and more intoxicated. The fact that I’m smiling in some of these will let you just how disconnected I was from myself and my emotions. I look at those photos now and just want to hug that little girl. She thought surviving meant hyper independence, fighting in the streets, barking loud and biting even harder.”
'The last one was when I was 26, arrested for soliciting an undercover cop on a casino floor." She further stated, "But, I got sick. Sick of humiliating myself, sick of always having to start over & sick of who I was as a human."
Bunnie XO had a realisation which helped in her journey,
"I had to stop pointing fingers & realize, two things can be true: I was the problem & the solution. But, even when I didn’t deserve it, God kept pulling me out the fire. Every overdose that didn’t take me, every time I inserted myself in harms way. He said,”No, there’s still work for you to do & what’s tea for them will be testimony for you.”
She wrote about how God helped her heal and recover, adding,
“I’m not ashamed of these photos. They remind me who I used to be and how far grace has carried me. If you’re in your own rock-bottom season right now, I need you to know this — you can rebuild. You CAN rewrite your story and start believing in yourself. You are never too far gone for God to find you, love you and lift you out. I’m still learning. I’m still healing but one thing is for certain — if He could do it for me … He damn sure can do it for you too.”
Bunnie XO is not the only one in this healing journey, as her husband, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, has also been reflecting on his past and the mistakes he has made, and how together they have been helping each other get better and grow.
