Former football wide receiver Calvin Johnson recently sat down with TMZ Sports to discuss “Primitiv,” his cannabis research company. Johnson, who has a net worth of $45 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, was asked about his plans to take his company to the next level. He said the operations around the cannabis culture in Michigan have many opportunities. According to Johnson:“We knew the power of the plan, wanted to be able to highlight those things obviously with how we operate in our business, our culture and you know, how we are informing our patients or our customers.”Calvin Johnson added:“Big thing, with Primitiv though it was deciding for us is that we are taking it back to our roots and really focusing it on being the craft, premier role that we know we are. And so, I have been, you know, going across Michigan, across the country, spend a lot of time in California. I really just trying to procure really nice genetics.”Calvin Johnson said that he was excited for what the company would bring forward in the first half of next year. He said there would be a “brand refresh,” and he was excited to see the new aesthetics. Johnson also said he used the product almost all the time because it improves the quality of life, mentioning:“It helps a lot when you have more, not necessarily just acute but as you are with the healing process, that’s what cannabinoids do.”Calvin Johnson talks about the partnership with RealTruckWhen asked to talk about the collaboration with RealTruck, Calvin Johnson said the two brands have a similar synergy, as RealTruck also looks for ways to contribute to the community. According to Johnson, the biggest way he did that is by partnering with individuals like him. He said:“They have foundations that are providing opportunity for those in the community. So, it’s awesome you know, one that we had that synergy and two, choose to collaborate with me. It’s awesome because all the proceeds of this truck that’s being auctioned off are going to go to the Calvin Johnson Jr. foundation.”He appreciated RealTruck for the work they do, and he couldn’t wait to get his truck, adding:“Why those chose to work with us it’s because we are helping the land and Detroit catch their dreams and our biggest initiatives to provide scholarships to those deserving students between Atlanta and Detroit.”Speaking about the auction, Johnson said he hoped somebody in Michigan would go and get the truck. He also looked forward to seeing it on game day at some point.When asked if his children know how famous he was, Calvin Johnson said they don’t know much. His little one would stare at him every time someone asked to take a photo with him.
