One can imagine, the pressure faced by Carys Zeta Douglas. A different pressure thrust onto you by the world, when both your parents are Academy award winning actors. The 22 year old, is born to legendary actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Recently Carys Zeta Douglas, graduated from Brown University, the Ivy League school in Rhode Island. Carys, secured a degree in Film and International Relations at Brown University. Both parents were proud of their daughter’s latest milestone. Catherine Zeta-Jones also shared her happiness on Instagram, with multiple celebratory posts.

Graduation day came with a full dose of love for Carys Zeta Douglas. Her mother, Catherine Zeta-Jones, 55, posted a touching family photo to Instagram showing her and Michael Douglas each planting a kiss on their daughter’s cheeks as she wrapped up her studies at Brown University.

“The night before graduation!!!! We are both such proud parents right now!! It’s only just begun!!” the actress wrote in her caption.

The celebration didn’t stop with one post. Zeta-Jones also shared Instagram Stories throughout Sunday, giving fans a closer look at Carys in her graduation robes. Carys' milestone was also topped off with a slice of carrot cake.

Michael Douglas took a small break from Hollywood last October for a more personal role, being a college dad. In an October Instagram post, he shared a touching photo with his daughter, during his campus visit.

"Visiting my daughter Carys at school on a fall Sunday!" the caption read.

Carys responded with equal affection.

"I had the best time with you Dadda."

Michael Douglas shares two kids with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Carys and Dylan Douglas. Michael Douglas is part of a long line of performers. His parents, Kirk Douglas and Diana Dill, were both actors too.

In 2021, Catherine Zeta-Jones confirmed during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show that her children, Carys Zeta Douglas and Dylan Douglas, were serious about considering careers in acting.

Catherine explained their passion.

"Their love of the craft of acting is so strong that even when their brains are doing politics and history in school, their passion is acting. And they've never done anything professional, but they would like to go into acting."

She also acknowledged the reality her daughter will face in pursuing a Hollywood path. Her husband, Michael Douglas, cautioned that the family name could follow her throughout her career.

"In fact one has to prove oneself more, so even with that deterrent my kids are like, no, sorry we still want to do it," she shared.
