Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman’s estranged wife, has mentioned the goddess of pop in her divorce filing. Cher’s name came up when Allman’s former partner, Marieangela King, noted the diverse sources of Allman’s income, including contributions from Cher, as justification for receiving spousal support.
Cher’s net worth is $360 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The actress and musician, who first gained recognition as one half of the famous music and entertainment duo, Sonny & Cher, later expanded her solo career with a string of pop hits such as If I Could Turn Back Time and Believe.
Elijah Blue Allman, a musician born to Cher from her relationship with late singer-songwriter Gregg Allman, was married to fellow musician Marieangela King.

Why Marieangela King mentioned Cher in her divorce from Elijah Blue Allman
Marieangela King, who married Elijah Blue Allman in 2013, initially filed for divorce from Allman on April 8, according to Daily Mail. The filing included a demand for spousal support amounting to $6,000 a month as well as the use of the former couple’s car, noted the publication.
King filed another order with the court on June 20, requesting spousal support for $6,500 a month as well as $10,000 for her lawyer’s fees, as per Daily Mail.
The news outlet noted that while filing for additional support, King said that she had not worked in years, and only had about $3,651.96, while her expenses amounted to $12,000. She alluded to Allman’s family in the filing, which read:
“I was very lucky to live an amazing life with my husband. I have sacrificed my professional career for the past 11+ years of marriage to support my husband in line with his family's wishes.”
According to US Weekly, King also noted that she and her estranged husband had a high standard of living, which married, which included living in homes in sought-after addresses such as Beverly Hills and Malibu, flying to Europe, and living in 5-star hotels.
According to King, she has no avenue to support herself now, though. The outlet noted that King, in her court filing, said,
“I’ve flown on private planes, flown first & business class and stayed at the mansion in Vegas…The entertainment market is difficult. I have not been able to develop my career while supporting my husband and his families (sic) priorities especially under such a high profile magnifier and given no specific support to do so.”

King requested that a forensic investigation into Allman’s finances be undertaken, according to the Daily Mail. The outlet also noted that King alleged that Allman received $20,000 a month, in addition to income from:
“trust funds and major contributions coming to him from family and his mother, Cher.”
Additionally, Daily Mail noted that King claimed in court documents that financial contributions from Cher helped support her lifestyle with her former husband.
Elijah Blue Allman is recovering from a drug overdose
Even as Elijah Blue Allman’s divorce proceedings continue, it was reported that he was discharged from a hospital in Southern California in June after being admitted there following a drug overdose, according to TMZ.
The outlet noted that law enforcement had arrived earlier at Allman’s residence after responding to an emergency call. Drugs were also found at the residence, noted TMZ.
Elijah Blue Allman’s struggles with drug addiction are well-known. Two years ago, Cher had filed for conservatorship of her son, who was struggling with substance abuse. At the time, Marieangela King was also mentioned, who, Cher claimed, was compromising Allman’s efforts to get help, according to another report by TMZ.
