Keenan took to TikTok and shared a video of her explaining how she managed to buy her luxury apartment in The Big Apple on December 26, 2025. Kennan in the video said:
“I want to add a little bit of context as to how I was able to purchase my apartment in New York City. I grew up with immense privilege and an incredibly supportive family. My mom didn’t buy this apartment. but she did let me live at home until age 26, saving aggressively."
She went ahead and said:
"That being said, she didn’t cosign my loan or contribute to my down payment or pay for my mortgage."
While mentioning how her mother taught her about financial literacy, Kit Keenan further added:
"She also introduced me to my accountant and my financial advising team at age 18 when I made my first paycheck. She led by example and showed me the importance of financial independence as a woman and why investing in real estate matters."
