Johnny Gill recently denied that he ever had any relationship with actor Eddie Murphy, after a man named Flash, an escort who used to attend Diddy's parties, claimed he had previously seen the two men kissing. In his appearance on The Armon Wiggins Show, Flash said he had allegedly witnessed the two men engage in a passionate kiss in public while attending a party in the Hollywood Hills. He said:
"I saw Eddie Murphy and Johnny Gill tongue kissing."
Johnny Gill and Eddie Murphy have maintained a long-standing friendship that dates back to the early 1990s, although this is not the first time rumors of their alleged relationship have surfaced.
More about the alleged rumors about Johnny Gill and Eddie Murphy, as singer denies relationship with actor
In his appearance on The Armon Wiggins Show, former escort Flash discussed the alleged relationship between Johnny Gill and Eddie Murphy. He said he was attending his first party in the Hollywood Hills when he saw the two men share an intimate moment. He said:
"The first party that I went to in Hollywood, it was after I think Coach Carter, [they were] out in public. So a lot of the things that you think .."
He added:
"I was walking down the stairs, and cause I was in Hollywood Hills, and they were kissing at the bottom of the banister. Like...he really is...I was like the Nutty professor really is Nutty, and they were going at it like real swallowing tongues."
Johnny Gill later addressed this rumor by commenting under the post, calling it a blatant lie. He also alleged that he would take the man to court and "make an example" out of him. Johnny Gill wrote:
"I'm not sure who this broke ass n*** is, he’s telling a bold face lie, I’m not the entertainer that’s taking the road of be quiet and ignore it because it’s a lie! I’m not that n****! let’s see this n**** stand ten toes down in the court room!"
He added:
"N**** been carrying that old ass stupid rumors for years it’s one thang to repeat them lame as rumors but it’s another thang to lie on me to say you saw me do something that I ain’t ever did to no man n****, and I ain’t letting you get away with that lie my n****!! now I’m gonna make an example out of a n**** that’s lying and fucking with me! You got the wrong n****!! People can get on this shit and say anything and people are so gullible to believe that shit!"
This is not the first time Johnny Gill has been asked about his alleged relationship with Eddie Murphy. Back in 2013, during an interview with HipHollywood, the "Super Love" singer said he never understood where the rumors about his sexuality originated, and had previously chosen not to address them, hoping they would fade away. He said:
"If I could tell you why I sure would have by now…at this point in time I would have been able to cure that issue … to get rid of that issue. I took (sic) for the life of me never, never understood where it came from, why it lasted as it’s lasted.”
Johnny Gill continued:
"They said it about Oprah and Gayle. They said it about Will [Smith] and Duane Martin so I guess we fit in the group of…because we’ve always been tight…Eddie could care less about it…and Eddie’s always been Eddie and anybody that knows Eddie knows Eddie lives Eddie’s life and he will look at you straight up and tell you, 'Aye keep messing with me and I’ll hit you with my wallet and knock you out and keep it rocking.'"
Apart from this, Eddie Murphy was recently in the news for allegedly having testified at the Diddy Combs trial, although those rumors were later proven to be false.
