Adam Richman shared a heartfelt message with his followers recently before undergoing a second surgery, more than a month after speaking about his health struggles. The actor-TV host shared in April that he had to get operated on following undisclosed injuries.

On May 24, Richman posted his pictures, including the one with the Tottenham Hotspur jersey, and penned,

“Hello beautiful people. Don’t want to scare anyone like last time, so just want to be ultra clear- Today is surgery number two. And because nobody knows the future, I just wanted to once again tell all those who have been so kind and supportive of me & the shows I make and have made, I am forever grateful & love you all so much.”

Adam Richman promised that if everything goes well, he will “continue to work my tail off to give you my all.” The actor-TV presenter displayed his content for Tottenham Hotspur becoming the 2025 Europa League winners. Hours later, Adam Richman added another update to the caption of his post, revealing that his surgery had gone well. He wrote,

“UPDATE 11:50 EST - i’m home, and grateful to have made it through. Feeling quite rough, but that’s to be expected.”

He concluded by teasing new projects and sharing his disappointment with the Knicks’ recent loss against the Pacers.

“Looking to use this summer to rebuild mentally and physically and come out with some new bangers for you this fall. Also Jalen Brunson should NOT have tried that long range three.”

Adam Richman is scared of surgeries due to a tragic incident from the past

While the ex-Man v. Food host hasn’t disclosed his medical condition, he has maintained that the surgeries are related to his past injuries, which are not quite serious. In April, the History Channel star addressed his health struggles and talked about his fear of surgeries. Adam Richman, who reportedly sparked public concern around his health, posted a video clarifying everything.

The Modern Marvels presenter said,

“I have to have a couple of surgeries. Thankfully, it’s just to fix some injuries I’ve had. It’s nothing, god forbid, related to some much more serious medical condition. But, they are serious surgeries to fix these injuries.”

He mentioned his father’s death, who passed away at 52 after undergoing a “routine surgery.”

“My dad went in for routine surgery, when he was just two years older than I am now and he never came out of the hospital. And I’ve had a healthy fear of hospitals and surgery ever since.”

Adam continued,

“And these injuries are maybe a little bit of a result of me feeling my own age. And I’m scared. I’m super scared out of my mind. And a bit sad.”

Richman talked about not hiding his fear of surgeries and asked his followers to pray for him. Before concluding his video, Adam reassured his followers that his condition was not serious.

In the past, the popular TV presenter has struggled with sleep apnea, which he shared during a 2014 interview with the Daily Express. Apart from that, Adam had an incident with Ghost Chili while filming Man v. Food. When he appeared on Hot Ones in 2016, Richman shared the effect ghost chili extract had on him,

“I was so jacked up in the bathroom of the place that my tongue had swollen, my nasal passages had swollen.”

It wasn’t the only health scare Adam Richman ever faced, as the Travel Channel star shared that he was diagnosed with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) during a trip to Switzerland. In a 2018 interview on Celebrity Catch Up: Life After That Thing I Did, the TV host shared about having a swollen hair follicle in his mustache.

He reached out to the doctor and got to know about MRSA. Adam Richman, whose lip had also swollen due to the condition, was advised to undergo surgery to stop bacteria from spreading.
