Carey Hart, the off-road truck racer and motocross competitor, has thanked his wife, Alecia Beth Moore-Hart, widely known as the singer Pink, for taking charge at the hospital after he sustained severe injury. According to Us Weekly,

"[Hart] severed [his] small intestine from his colon.”

On May 18, 2025, Carey Hart shared multiple pictures after the incident on Instagram, he updated his fans about the situation through the post.

“A huge thanks to @pink . As always does in these situations w/ me, she steps up and takes charge at the hospital. Sorry to put you through this, yet again. Thanks Willz and Jamo for coming to visit today,” he shared on the post.

Carey Hart, now aged 49, started his Instagram post with a joke

“Welp, I ran out of talent,” he said.

About the accident, the racer elaborated:

“I had a pretty nasty get off, practicing Thursday morning. Landed off a jump, bars knifed, and took the bar to the gut while going over the bars. As I understand it, severed my small intestine from my colon. I’m fine and will recover from this.”

Despite the severe injury, Hart maintained his trademark humor and resilience. He told followers that he would be taking a few days to rest and focus on recovery, adding,

“Sorry to everyone I ghosted over the last couple days. There was a good reason for it.”

Briefly stepping back from his usual routine, he assured fans and friends that he plans to reconnect next week as he begins the healing process.

Why Did Carey Hart leave Fox’s Special Forces?

Carey Hart, had to exit Fox’s Special Forces earlier this year after suffering an injury caused by a slip on a muddy speed bump during one of the show’s challenges. In a report shared by Us Weekly, he explained the event in detail.

“It’s my own fault that that happened. We were running this brutal workout through the mud holes and into the splash pond and all these things. It was absolutely freezing outside. I got hurt because I wasn’t paying attention, in the prior exercises, we had to do two laps around the compound and back into the square. Well, in that certain situation, I think that was the second or third round — [and] I’m not a great runner."

Hart added:

"The DS said, ‘OK, go out, do one loop around and pull back in.’ I wasn’t paying attention. I went for the full two laps. Well, it was the second lap I actually tripped… So had I been paying attention, I would’ve advanced and not been in that situation.”

Post accident, Carey Hart told his costars he was exiting the show and made a lighthearted comment about how his wife, Pink, would likely find the situation amusing.

Hart explained that he contacted her via video call soon after the incident.

“I FaceTimed her that night. At the moment I got hurt, it was probably around midnight. So by the time I made it back to the hotel and got my phone out of the safe and all the things, it was probably 3 o’clock in the morning U.K. time,” he shared

Pink's reaction was a mix of concern and understanding, he recalled.

“She’d known the period of the time of the show and probably in the back of her mind, she knows anytime my phone’s going to ring before that last day, I’m going to be [hurt]. So her initial [reaction] — she was wide-eyed, kind of white as a ghost, asking, ‘Are you alright?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, it’s just my old body.'”
