Actor Colton Ford passed away on Monday, May 19. The news of Ford’s passing was broken by many of his friends and colleagues from the industry. Director and drag performer Chi Chi LaRue took to Facebook to reveal that Ford had passed away. In a tribute, LaRue wrote:
“Im So Shocked and Saddened to Hear and Report the sudden passing of my friend and Icon Glen aka Colton Ford! You will missed! Keep Singing In Heaven!”
Ford’s real name was Glenn Soukesian. The adult film actor was 62 years of age at the time of his death. Ford’s death was caused by a hiking accident in Palm Springs, where he lived, according to a subsequent post by one of Ford’s colleagues, adult actor Dallas Steele. Steele shared in a post on X and wrote:
“It is with great sadness, I share word of the passing of my friend Glenn, who you may have known as p*rnstar and singer Colton Ford. Few details have been shared, but sources say he died from an accident on a hiking trail in Palm Springs.”
Paying tribute to Ford, Steele also added:
“Glenn was such an amazing spirit. Always thinking about what he planned to do next. Always optimistic about the possibilities. I will miss him and his great smile.”
Another colleague and friend of Ford, Tim Wood, wrote an emotional tribute on Facebook:
“With a very heavy heart I share this tragic news. While we don't have all the details, I never would have dreamed that the photo below of Glenn Soukesian (Colton Ford) and I from 3 weeks ago would be our last. Glenn was involved in a tragic hiking accident this past weekend that took his life.”
Wood added:
“He was a brilliant artist who always kept a song in his heart. Sweet, funny, kind, sassy - and hopelessly handsome. My heart is broken - it's almost too much to take. One of my best friends, a man who helped save my life many years ago. I miss you terribly.........I can't stop the flood of tears. Sing with the angels, my beautiful, special soul. I love you.”
About Colton Ford’s career
According to Out, Colton Ford began his 22-year adult film career at the age of 40 in 2001. The publication also noted that Ford won the GayVN Award for Gay Performer of the Year.

Beyond starring in adult film roles, Ford also appeared in mainstream roles in the entertainment industry. Some of his mainstream film credits include The Next Best Thing, Circuit, and Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!
Ford appeared in off-Broadway theatrical productions, such as 2011’s Little House on the Ferry directed by Jeremy Wechter.
Colton Ford headed the production company, Woop Woop Productions, under the banner of which he produced music. As a singer-songwriter, Ford released multiple albums and EPs. Some of his singles include 2013’s The Music Always Gets You Back, All My Love, and 2020’s Stronger. As per the last interview before his death, Ford revealed to The Caftan Chronicles that his latest album was named Permission, and the artist recorded around 20 tracks.
During the conversation, Ford also noted that he had been working as a personal trainer since the early 2000s.
