Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry's representatives have reportedly given their first update since her hospitalisation after falling off the Miss Universe on November 19. Official Miss Universe Jamaica took to their social media on November 21 to confirm that Gabrielle continues to be "hospitalised in Thailand." Her sister, Dr Phylicia Henry Samuels and mother, Maureen Henry, are currently with her and provided a health update. They noted,“Gabby isn’t doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly."The press release noted that Gabrielle will be "required" to be in the ICU for a minimum of a week, undergoing "close monitoring and specialised care." The organisation requested that Jamaicans and Gabrielle's fans keep her in their prayers and wish for a speedy recovery. They added,"We respectfully ask the public and social media users to avoid sharing negative comments, misinformation, or speculation that may cause further distress to the family."
