More about Khadiyah Lewis and Yung Joc's relationship explored, as the former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star passes away

Khadiyah Lewis was born on 31 March 1981 to parents Debra Body and David Clerk Lewis Jr., and grew up in Oklahoma City with her parents and siblings. According to her LinkedIn profile, she went to Florida A & M University and later worked as a business and tax consultant at the time of her death. She also worked as a real estate broker. Her relationship with Yung Joc was revealed while Khadiyah was showing him and his then-girlfriend, Karli Redd, houses to buy, according to Entertainment Now.

According to The Shade Room, Khadiyah Lewis first appeared in season three of the reality TV show, where she presented herself as Yung Joc's assistant and someone who was working as a real estate agent. The "I Know You see It" rapper's relationship with Redd quickly deteriorated, as his affair with Khadiyah Lewis was revealed on camera. In the episode, Yung Joc and Karlie Redd were seen visiting a house where Khadiyah Lewis was already waiting. Lewis shows the couple the house, but Redd is later seen questioning whether Yung Joc and Lewis were having an affair. Khadiyah revealed the truth, and soon a fight broke out between the two women, only to be separated by crew members.

Later, Lewis joined the cast in season four as Yung Joc's girlfriend. The relationship was short-lived, and the pair went their separate ways after season four. In a throwback video posted by Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Yung Joc can be seen admitting his mistake in starting a relationship with Khadiyah Lewis while still dating Karlie Redd. He said:

“I realize that I made some really wild moves, some very not-so-thought-out moves. It’s comedy now because I can look at it and laugh. But I also look back and I can see where I wasn’t being the best me possible. Some of the sh*t I’ve done in my lifetime. Can you imagine me trying to explain my way out of things? That sh*t was real, too. That sh*t was real, dog. When she showed up and saw KD, she f*cking flipped out. Went crazy. They was lost, I was lost, too. I was like, ‘What the f*ck goin on’?’ Sis went crazy.”

Khadiyah Lewis' brother, Elijah Inegbedion, wrote a tribute on Facebook for the former reality TV star, saying:

"Been at a lost for words for some days now. And to think that I’ll ever have the words to describe the person you’ve been and the legacy that you left behind would be erroneous. Long Live my sister Khadiyah Lewis."

He further added:

"You left behind a legacy most individuals can only dream of.Thank you for loving me the way you did and always having my back no matter what. God blessed me when he made me your baby brother and for that I am eternally thankful. You are forever on my mind and in my heart. I love you!”

According to People magazine, the funeral of Khadiyah Lewis, who was 44 at the time of her passing, will be held at Temple Memorial Chapel on June 14.
