In April 2020, Kodak Black had accused NBA YoungBoy of cooperating with the police concerning a stabbing incident that took place at his home. The two have been taking jabs at each other ever since.
Black seemingly fired shots at YoungBoy once again and called his new album, Make America Slime Again, "straight trash".
Livebitez shared a clip from Black's Instagram story on July 6, where the rapper gives his thoughts on YoungBoy's new album,
"I just heard little bruh album it's straight trash, I don't even like that. And I like Youngboy music but that s**t a** tho."
YoungBoy released his six-track album on July 4, and it is reportedly a celebration of freedom. YoungBoy is yet to react to Kodak Black's comments.
More about NBA YoungBoy and Kodak Black's feud
NBA Youngboy and Kodak Black's feud started after Quando Rondo. The rapper and singer, who is affiliated with NBA YoungBoy, was recorded burning Sniper Gang's merch in 2018. Sniper Gang belongs to Kodak's label. The feud escalated, as Kodak's circle responded by burning YoungBoy's Never Broke Again LLA's shirt. Furthermore, Sniper Gang also issued a statement in the form of a video on social media, where they seemingly issued threats towards Quando Rondo.
In October 2019, NBA was spotted with Kodak Black's ex-girlfriend Dej. Relationship rumors spread between the two after Dej was seen leaving allegedly flirty comments on Kodak's Instagram account a couple of weeks before. A month later, when Kodak was sentenced to 46 months in prison on federal weapon charges, NBA released his track, Letter 2 Kodak, where he addressed the rapper directly and said,
"Kodak locled up and I miss him so I'ma send a kite."
In April 2020, their feud took a serious turn when Kodak Black positioned himself between NBA's feud with Iyanna "Ya Ya" Mayweather, who allegedly stabbed the mother of NBA's child, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs. Kodak accused NBA of "cooperating" with the police.
"The hell they mean fully cooperated LOL. They ain't say a lil piece bit, they say fully big. Anyaways, man that word ain't even posed to be attached to your name. Dam lil bra, don't do that lil girl like dat man. I mean I'm locked up, but this s**t got it lookin' like it was some Otha s**t you'll tell something."
The same month, NBA hopped onto Instagram live and addressed Kodak Black's "cooperating" comments and said,
"The f**k a ni**a watching me for? A n**ga say I cooperated about what? You stupid b**ch."
The two berated each other more on social media and dropped tracks like Dirty K to slam each other. However, the two finally reconciled and ended their public feud in January 2023, on a FaceTime call where they joked about gumbo before Kodak referring to NBA's new album, "straight trash".
