Stylist Misa Hylton is leaving fans worried for her health with her latest public appearance. On May 12, Hylton was seen outside the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse in New York City while arriving to lend music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs support in his ongoing trial. Combs and Hylton share a son named Justin Dior Combs, who was seen accompanying his mother who needed the support of a walker to make it from her car to the courthouse.

Fans immediately noticed how much Hylton was reliant on the help of a walker to move. A majority of the netizens expressed concern over Hylton’s well-being, and speculated on what was ailing her. Many fans also lent their prayers and wished that Hylton recovers promptly.

A netizen took to Instagram to point out Hylton’s use of the walker, and wrote,

Another netizen took to X to wonder what had happened to Hylton, and used a hilarious meme to lighten the situation, and wrote,

“Misa out here with a walker… what is going on”

Another bewildered netizen wondered why Hylton needed a walker at her age. The fan wrote,

“She is only 52 yo, using a walker?”

Even though Hylton hasn’t commented on why she needed a walker, a netizen took to X to speculate that a medical procedure might have led her to be reliant on the walker. The netizen wrote,

“Looks like hip surgery.”

While Lisa Hylton’s appearance with the aid of a walker took a lot of netizens by surprise, some fans criticised the reactions. An Instagrammer chastised fans for speculating on Hylton’s use of a walker, and wrote,

A few netizens also wished Hylton well, and prayed that she got well soon. A fan took to X to reflect and write,

“This made me feel young again and God bless her!”

Another fan echoed the statement and referred to a story that Hylton put up on Instagram a few hours ago, which featured her meeting the Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) and Chairperson of the fashion house, MCM, Sung-Joo Kim. Hylton could be seen with a cast on her foot. The fan wrote,

“On Her IG story she’s in a cast for her right foot. Prayers for healing”

Misa Hylton is dealing with her own legal woes

Misa Hylton is currently involved in a legal dispute with her former collaborator, Mary J. Blige. Hot New Hip Hop reports that Hylton has accused Blige of "economic servitude." As per the news outlet, the stylist claims that Blige used her influence to coerce rapper Vado to end his association with Hylton in order to release his album.

As per LA Times, Hylton is seeking $5 million in damages.

Misa Hylton’s has left an indelible mark on hip-hop fashion. The stylist was only 17 years old when she began styling hip-hop artists and went on to earn fame by crafting iconic looks for rappers, as per Hot New Hip Hop. The news outlet also notes that Hylton was instrumental in determining how R&B artists were perceived.

Misa Hylton once spoke to Billboard about her inspiration for becoming a hip-hop stylist and designer, she said,

“When I was a pre-teen, the radio only played Hip-Hop on Fridays and Saturdays and was hosted by Mr. Magic & Kool DJ Red Alert. I would sit on the floor by the radio with my cassette tapes and record the music and while listening I envisioned wardrobe. There weren’t many visuals out at that time; basically, there were none.”

Hylton also shared how she came up with her innovations in fashion and styling for hip-hop artists with Billboard, and added,

“At that time, the look for R&B singers were hard bottom shoes and suits, but we had what was then considered a crazy idea: to put these singers in leather, combat boots, hoodies and baseball caps that were turned backwards.”

During her conversation with Billboard, Hylton also went into details of how she began styling female rap icons like Mary J. Blige and Lil Kim, and the early discrimination that she faced in the industry.

As per LA Times, Misa Hylton has her own management company, called M.I.S.A.
