Reid Perry, who was part of the group The Band Perry along with his siblings Neil Perry and Kimberly Perry, has reportedly quit the band to focus on managing other artists. According to The New York Post, this news comes months after Neil Perry's exit from the group in January, when he left to focus on his solo music career.

According to People Magazine, the news of Reid Perry's exit was announced by the country singer on October, 13, in a statement on his Instagram. Following his announcement, Kimberly Perry is now the only remaining original member of the group, which was formed in 2005. A part of his statement read:

"To the fans, you’ve always been my favorite part of this. I’ve decided to leave TBP. I’ll be missing seeing you in the crowd at a Band Perry show but I’ll be around."

Neil Perry and his siblings, Reid Perry and Kimberly Perry, had announced back in 2023 that the group would be taking a hiatus to focus on individual careers. According to People Magazine, the group were on a "creative break" for two years, until they announced their comeback in January 2025.

However, it was revealed at that time that Neil Perry, who is married to Sofia Sclafani, whom he married in September, 2024, would not be returning to perform with the band. Following Neil Perry's exit in January, he was replaced by Kimberly's husband, Johnny Costello.

In a January 2025 interview with Celeb Secrets, the "If I Die Young" singer explained how the hiatus inspired him to explore new paths. He said:

"With all this extra time on my hands, I found myself moving to New York, meeting my future wife, and falling in love, so quite some big life moments happening for me. I also had time to reflect and be like, ‘okay, is music what I’m meant to do still? Or is this God’s way of telling me to see what else is out there for you?"

He further added that while studying psychology, a subject he had grown passionate about, he rediscovered his love for music, saying:

"I went to school for a little bit to study psychology… I was fascinated by that subject, but I did not even get one semester in. School is not really my thing. I think in the search for what else could be out there, I found my love for music again. I think I had to get away from it to fall back in love with it again.”

Neil Perry released his first single, "If You Can't, Don't," in October 2024, which was followed by his second single, "Easy Love," in December. In the interview, the Grammy-nominated artist shared that he has several other projects lined up thoughout 2025, adding that he now planned to focus on making music as a solo artist.
