What happened between Nicki Minaj and Jay Z? Feud explored as Tina Knowles denies responding to singer’s rant against son-in-law

Tina Knowles is clearing the air about rumors that she slammed Nicki Minaj as the latter beefs with Jay-Z.

Following Nicki Minaj's accusations that the Roc Nation founder snubbed her of some money, the matriarch of the Knowles family took to Instagram to share a video of her daughter praising her for her resilience:

"It’s so easy for you to get lost and just be so unhappy. I’m always able to get back to myself because of you," Beyoncé said in the video.

Tina Knowles captioned the clip:

"Good morning it feels good to wake up knowing my favs didn’t lose their minds y’all have a great day remember to ignore the ignorance as @mstinaknowles would say."

While she didn't name-drop the Anaconda singer, fans were quick to draw up a connection. However, she has since shot down all speculations by editing the caption of the post to assert that she didn't have any ill intention, and that fans are reaching:

"Wow I reposted this because it was talking about our relationship. It had nothing to do with anyone other than Me and Beyonce. Please stop being messy and dragging me into something I don't have anything to do with! You guys should be ashamed !!!"

Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z's beef explored as the Anaconda rapper says he owes her money

Nicki Minaj has been dissing Jay-Z in a string of posts across Instagram and X. It all started when she accused him of underpaying her as a stakeholder in Tidal after its $302 million sale in 2021:

"I received a call advising Tidal was sold & they made no money on the deal so all they could offer me was a million dollars," she penned on X in September 2024, alleging that she was "scammed."

On July 9, she doubled down on her allegations:

"We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far," she penned on X. "#JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho," Minaj wrote on X.

She then said that any of the funds she receives from Jy-Z would go towards "some of my Barbz to college, pay their school fees & student loans via my #StudentOfTheGame charity."

In another post, she shared a side-by-side photo of Jay-Z and Raymir Satterthwaite, 31, who has long claimed he is the rapper's son:

"Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory," Nicki Minaj captioned it.

Satterthwaite has been petitioning the court to grant him a paternity test for years. However, Jay Z has never commented publicly on the situation. During an interview with the Daily Mail, Satterthwaite said:

"If he is not [my father], why can’t he prove me wrong? Go to the court room and do what everyone else has to do. I can take a no. I can take being embarrassed. I just can’t take him not saying nothing. It is not fair."

Nicki Minaj then took to X to throw shade at the rapper once again:

"Dear #JayZ & Desirat, You ruined hiphop, You ruined football… All of this is alleged & for entertainment purposes only."

She also slammed his involvement in the Democratic Party campaigns, especially during former President Barack Obama's time in office:

"So lemme get this straight. Yall so called black savior #JayZ has a Hispanic CEO who was pardoned by President Trump?!!!!?!?! Hmmmmm interesting. So does that mean Desirat isn’t a democrat???!! Black ppl I thought yall hate all Trump supporters????? Wait, did JayZ ever campaign for Kamala???? Hmmm. He’s benefitted so much from the party. When President Obama gave the speech about “brothers” why didn’t Jigga man come out & strongly campaign for the democratic party @ that time?????? Could it be that yall have all been hoodwinked? lol."

Nicki Minaj went on:

"WOO WEE. That was so kind of President Trump. And that was so kind of President Obama to passionately go out & campaign. But what did Mr. Jigga man do to help yall win the election???? He’s above speaking out to help his party? Or was it not his party? Is it just about who can benefit him & Desirat at the time???? Oh black ppl it looks like the Jigga man & Desirat played yall once again. LMFAO. The jig is up."
