As per a recent article by People, Hallmark movies actress Nikki DeLoach recently shared her five-day-old child's struggle with his heart disease. DeLoach mentioned that she will always remember being her little boy's mother.

DeLoach recalled at the Children’s Heart Foundation’s Congenital Heart Walk on Sunday, May 18.

"He had four congenital heart defects and without immediate intervention, he was not going to survive,” DeLoach told Us Weekly. “At five days old, Dr. Vaughn Starnes at Children's Hospital Los Angeles— one of the world’s top pediatric heart surgeons — saved his life.”

Benett's heart surgery when he was 5 days old, however, did not resolve his condition rapidly, and he had to go through additional heart procedures when he was just 12 months and 18 months old, respectively.

Nikki DeLoach's son Benett is now 8 years old and is gearing up to play soccer. He also knows how to play the piano and is doing well academically.

DeLoach further explained her feelings and her realization that health comes above everything else.

"I grew up in this industry and had my first job at, like, eight years old,” DeLoach — who also shares Hudson, 11, with husband Ryan Goodell — recalled to Us from Griffith Park in Los Angeles. “And when you grow up in this industry, we think, ‘This is it.’ It’s our everything, until you face a life and death crisis with your child. Then you realize that there is nothing that matters more than our health and our ability to not just be alive, but to thrive in our lives.”

In a recent Instagram post, DeLoach wrote a cryptic caption about crying a lot and still not losing hope. The post left fans bothered and wondering what struggles Nikki DeLoach is facing, while they hoped for her to get better, whatever she is dealing with.

Nikki DeLoach has recently been in the news because of her return to Hallmark. She broke the news while speaking at the event.

Beloved Hallmark actress Nikki DeLoach recently told US Weekly at the Children Heart's Foundation's Congenital Heart Walk in Los Angeles.

DeLoach dropped hints that she is doing a movie named Home Turf, which was shot in Utah.

"I actually have a movie coming out. I’m doing a movie called Home Turf that comes out in the fall. I filmed it in Utah and wrapped it about a month ago. It’s great.”

Nikki DeLoach further briefed the film and said that the movie has everything fans expect in a Hallmark movie, and they can expect the same old charm, love, and laughter in this movie.

"It's football, it’s romance, it’s college campuses, it’s multi-generational, it’s funny.” “Warren Christie is my costar again. We’ve been reunited from Christmas. And I gotta tell you, I have not had this much fun on a set in a really long time. I am so excited about this movie!” DeLoach told US Weekly.

DeLoach further revealed that every movie has a special place, and the films Five More Minutes and The Gift of Peace hold a special place in her heart because they impart the message of grief and healing.

“I am our audience, and I’m always looking for that thing that is hopeful, and it’s going to make me feel like in the end, everything’s going to be OK.”
