Prominent European supermodel Paulina Porizkova is currently viral on Instagram after she posted a "get ready with me" video, along with a message that encourages body positivity and how one must embrace growing old and aging with grace and confidence. According to the New York Post, the 60-year-old supermodel, Porizkova, who is also an actress and author, in the Instagram video, posted on November 19, 2025, stripped down to her lingerie and then got dressed wearing her Rag & Bone sweatpant jeans and a sweater with squirrel print on it.

However, while Paulina Porizkova's "get ready with me" video is trending on Instagram, her fans and the netizens are curious to know what happened to her late former husband, Ric Ocasek. According to People Magazine, Ocasek, who was an American singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist of the rock band The Cars, died unexpectedly due to natural causes at his New York City residence on September 15, 2019.

Paulina Porizkova, in 2022, in one of the episodes of the Red Table Talk hosted primarily by Jada Pinkett Smith, shared the tough memories of her last days with Ric Ocasek. According to People Magazine, Porizkova, who was born in Czechoslovakia but started her modelling career in France, revealed how she found her late former husband dead in their bedroom. Porizkova said:

"He had surgery because they'd found stage 0 lung cancer. And he was recovering really well. Two weeks [later], he was walking around, he was starting to feel much better, he was sleeping better. And this night, he said, you know what, I'm feeling kinda tired."

She then recalled the next morning, how Ocasek slept late until Porizkova decided to wake him up. She continued and said:

"By 11, I was like, he's sleeping in a little bit too long, so I'm going to make him a cup of coffee and I'm going to bring it up to him."

She further added:

"I brought him a cup of coffee and he just looked like he was sleeping. I set the coffee down next to him and that's when I saw his face. I saw his eyes. And they didn't look like eyes anymore."

Paulina Porizkova, who was married to Ric Ocasek for 28 years, split in 2018. While the two were separated for quite a few years, they did not officially get a divorce. Interestingly, the supermodel and the late rockstar were still living together despite their split. Porizkova, who tied the knot with Ocasek in 1989, shared sons Oliver and Jonathan with him.

In a recently shared "get ready with me" video by supermodel and actress turned author, Paulina Porizkova, talked about body positivity and how everyone should accept aging with self-confidence. She shared the post with a caption that read:

"If you're like me, you will also zero in on the shape of my body- and hopefully think with relief 'ah, she's not perfect either'. And then you can give yourself a little break and wrap your arms around your imperfect self and give it some love. Because our imperfections are what makes us a perfect original."
