Widely known for her roles in light-hearted comedies and dramas, Rachael Leigh Cook, commonly known as Rachael Cook, rose to fame after her iconic role as Laney Boggs in Robert Iscove's 1999 romantic comedy film, She's All That. The 45-year-old actor stayed out of the spotlight for a few years until she had a career resurgence a few years back.
According to Parade, She's All That star, Cook, was spotted on a casual outing, as she was shopping and roaming around the streets of Burbank, California, on May 14, 2025. While she was seen wearing an all-white outfit, carrying a black purse with her hair tied in a low ponytail, the actress was completely unrecognizable.
Jossie and the Pussycats actress not only starred in several rom-coms but was also one of the leads in the mystery thriller film, Tangled. Rachael Cook can be considered a versatile actress who has played various kinds of roles over the years. Not only that, but during the early 2000s, Cook wanted to try her luck in independent films. Interestingly, in the 2000s, Cook was offered the role of Rogue in the X-Men film.
Cook turned down the offer and regretted it since. However, the role was eventually picked up by her co-star Anna Paquin, who later became a part of the X-Men franchise. In a 2021 interview with the New York Times, Cook, regarding turning down the role of Rogue, said:
"As soon as I saw the posters for it, I knew that I’d made a mistake. I really thought what everyone told me was correct when they said, ‘What we need to do now is make sure you’re taken seriously.’ I definitely did things for the wrong reasons."
While there was a period when she stayed away from the spotlight, Cook bounced back in the industry with multiple projects that included movies as well as TV shows. Rachael, since she was back on track, appeared in films and television series like Into The West, Red Sky, Nancy Drew, Perception, and many more.

A Tourist's Guide To Love actress, Rachael Cook, who is currently in a romantic relationship with producer Kevin Mann, was previously married to The Originals actor Daniel Gillies, with whom she shares a daughter, Charlotte, and a son, Theodore. They announced their split in 2019 through an Instagram post and then finally divorced in 2021.
Cook, who has been in several successful films and popular TV shows, also became a household name in Hallmark movies. As she became a frequent face in Hallmark original films, Cook has appeared in multiple Hallmark movies, such as Cross Country Christmas, Sisterhood Inc., and A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas.
The Hallmark star, Cook, unintentionally let down her fans when she couldn't appear for two back-to-back big events, such as Christmas Con and Galaxy Con, as she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Under her doctor's order, she had to cancel her plans and stay home and rest.
