Love Island star Taylor Williams is reportedly recuperating from a horrific horse riding injury.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that Williams was riding his horse during a competition at the Arizona Invitational Black Rodeo in Scottsdale this Saturday, August 30. In the incident that was caught on camera, he and the animal took a sudden fall before contestants seemingly trampled over them. The horse hauled itself up to its feet while Williams lay there before the officials got to him.
Per People, he later took to his Instagram Stories to issue fans with an update, asserting that he would not be absent from a Saturday night event he was expected at:
"Was in a horse accident last night but I'm still pulling up tonight injured and all," he wrote. "It's my brothers' bday [you know] we still turnt!"
In another post, the 25-year-old reiterated that he is "all good" as he appreciated the outpouring of support. He paired the sentiment with a photo of himself in a hospital bed, flashing the camera a thumbs up as he sported a neck brace. He also informed his followers that, contrary to what it looked like, he "still walked out" of the incident on his own.
Everything we know about Taylor Williams' recent few weeks
People has reported that, during his time on the seventh season of the Peacock dating show, Taylor Williams got candid about his experience with animals as a veterinary student and rodeo fanatic. Referring to himself as a cowboy, he said in his casting announcement this May:
"If you're not being dangerous, then you're not living life. My type of girl [has a] good personality, a city girl would be cool."
Page Six has reported that the Oklahoma native was first paired with Olandria Carthen, a fan-favorite. However, he eventually ended his stint on the show with Casa Amor Bombshell, Clarke Carraway. They would made it all the way until the second-to-last episode of the show before they were voted off the island.
During an interview with Variety in July, Taylor Williams confirmed that he is still with Carraway, and the two are currently working on “making [their] relationship work” outside of the show. He said:
We started talking about the real world. I want her to come to Oklahoma, and I’ll go see her in Charlotte. We’ve had conversations about seeing each other outside the villa and making our relationship work.
