Sinister actor James Ransone has passed away at the age of 46.

James Ransone, who is known for his roles as Ziggy Sobotka in The Wire and Eddie Kaspbrak in It: Chapter Two, passed away on Friday due to suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The actor died from "hanging" as was listed as the cause of death, while the place of death was "shed."

According to Celebrity Net Worth, James had a net worth of $1.5 million. He has done a range of roles across TV and movies, which helped him amass his wealth. The actor landed his first roles in 2001, appearing in the film The American Astronaut as well as guest-starring in an episode of Law & Order.

In films, he has worked on projects like Prom Night, Sinister, Sinister 2, Tangerine, Mr Right, It Chapter Two, The Black Phone, and Black Phone 2.

Ransone was a sexual abuse survivor, which also led to him having an addiction to alcohol and heroin. In 2016, he revealed in an Interview Magazine story,

"People think I got sober working on the ‘Generation Kill.’ I didn’t. I sobered up six or seven months before that. I remember going to Africa and I was going to be there for almost a year. I was number two on the call sheet and I was like, “I think somebody made a mistake. This is too much responsibility for me."

Ransone survives by his son and his wife, Jamie McPhee.
