"When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond."

Let's explore what the jeep alert is as featured in the film.

What is a Jeep Alert in A House of Dynamite?

A House of Dynamite uses several key words and jargon that are used in the military and government while dealing with nuclear weapons. One of them is the Jeep Alert, which gets mentioned in one of the scenes. Jeep is the short form of Joint Emergency Evacuation Plan (JEEP).

This term refers to a strategy made by the United States government, as well as the agencies, to evacuate important figures during a threat or a crisis. This plan was used during the 9/11 attacks when several key figures took refuge in the White House bunker, fearing a plane would strike the building.

A House of Dynamite had several people as advisors during production to help them create an authentic war room. One of them was Dan Karbler, an ex-army officer and the chief of staff at STRATCOM. Speaking to Netflix, Karbler went into detail about the film's realism.

"Folks should realize that we actually practice many, many different scenarios in conducting nuclear operations, almost 400 a year between [STRATCOM] and the Pentagon, other combat commands, and other agencies. The last president to ever practice was President Reagan. Other presidents since then have never practiced. They all get briefed on the nuclear football and what the strike advisor has that we see in the movie, but they don't practice it."

A House of Dynamite is produced by Kathryn Bigelow, Noah Oppenheim, and Greg Shapiro under their banners of First Light, Kingsgate Films, and Prologue Entertainment. Its cast members are Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, and Jared Harris, among others. Kirk Baxter has edited the film, while Barry Ackroyd is the cinematographer.
