Jennifer Lopez was reportedly denied entry at a Chanel store in Istanbul, Turkey.

The veteran songstress, 56, made a pit stop at the luxury store on Monday, August 4. However, as reported by People Magazine, a security guard barred her from entering as it was at full capacity. She was then cordial about it, noting, "Okay, no problem," before she sauntered away.

Other outlets have reported that the guard didn't recognise her. The store reportedly tried to get the Can’t Get Enough artist back, but she stopped by other stores like Celine and Beymen stores instead, Türkiye Today has reported. She reportedly spent exorbitant amounts of money and hours in these stores.

Images of Jennifer Lopez on the day have since surfaced online, where she can be seen clad in a baby pink set with matching sunglasses. She was at Istinye Park at the time.

Jennifer Lopez was reportedly in the country for the Yenikapi Festival Park, which took place during the Istanbul Festival on August 5. She was in town for her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, which is expected to conclude this August 12, with a final performance in Sardinia, Italy. It began on July 8 in Vigo, Spain.

Hola! Magazine has reported that this isn't the first time the singer was not recognized. A viral 2014 video of the Jenny from the Block singer shows her visiting her childhood home in the Bronx. In it, she can be seen going up to an older man. She repeated:

"I used to live here," she says, before he asks, "You who? What's your name?" She responds by telling him her "name is Jennifer," before pointing out that her room was right upstairs. "Who's Jennifer Lopez?" the man further asked. "Me, I used to live here," Lopez said.

Nonetheless, Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 56th birthday in the country just last month, on July 24. She shared photos of her party, which had a multi-tier cake and bottles of champagne, on her Instagram Stories at the time. She captioned a string of photos on her Instagram, which started with a selfie. She captioned:

“BirthDAY 💗🧡💚. ..📍Antalya, Turkey. What a gift you all are! Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes.”

In the remaining photos, she could be seen lounging around at her hotel, carrying a bouquet, and dancing around her birthday cake.
