Jessie Cave, who is known for her role as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movie franchise, recently opened up about why she was not allowed to attend a fan convention. According to Variety, the actress, who is now making videos on the popular adult content site, spoke on her substack about how she was not booked to attend the event due to her making videos on O*lyFans. She said:

"I found out that I didn’t get booked for a ‘Harry Potter’ convention recently, as I’m now doing O*lyFans."

Jessie Cave, who hosts the "Before we break up again" podcast with her partner, comedian Alfie Brown, with whom she shares four children, had previously spoken back in March about her financial situation. She revealed that she was starting an account on the popular adult content site to pay for certain expenses. She said:

"My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love."

More about Jessie Cave's recent venture, as the actresss opens about not being allowed to attend a Harry Potter fan convention

Jessie Cave, who has appeared in three Harry Potter movies, recently wrote on her substack about finding out that she was not scheduled to attend a Harry Potter fan convention, citing that the organizers had conveyed to her that the reason for them doing so was her association with the adult content site. She wrote:

"They explained it was 'because it was a family show and O*lyFans is affiliated with porn.' This was baffling to me as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they’ve done s*x scenes and nudity. I’m just playing with my hair!”

Back in March, when she had announced that she would be launching an O*lyfans account, she stressed that he account would have no s*xual content. She explained that her content would focus on sensual elements and feature videos highlighting "the best quality hair sounds." She said:

"It's very much geared toward people who have an interest or fetish with hair. I do a lot of videos with my hair on Instagram and I have now for a while. I just noticed that I always get comments. They’re never s*xually depraved or lascivious. It's never dirty comments, but I do get lots of interest in the hair thing and I just thought, 'F*ck it, I'm going to do something that is very niche."

In her recent substack, while explaining why she was not allowed to attend the convention, Jessie Cave further added:

"I am not upset about the prospect of no more ‘Harry Potter’ conventions. There’s going to be a new cast now and it’s a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia.”

Jessie Cave also reflected on her past experiences, adding that she was still grateful for the opportunities she had from differant conventions over the years, noting that at one point in her life that was the only "real money" she was making.
