In a viral video on the internet, a man at a Rufus Du Sol concert in Bowl Stadium, Los Angeles, can be seen punching a woman until bystanders were able to move him away. The woman, who was allegedly hit multiple times, was left unconscious. She can be seen lying lifeless on the floor as another concertgoer rushes to her rescue.
The victim, Shelby Elston, revealed the story in a Facebook post. She mentioned that when a drink was spilled on Zavala at the Rufus Du Sol concert, he stormed off before returning half an hour later only to scream and make violent threats at Elston and her fiancé.
When Elston attempted to apologize to the concertgoer, she was attacked instead.
"This man PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE! I was completely knocked out and there was blood pouring on my face."
Elston asked for help in identifying her attacker and also added that he pushed her into the bleachers and repeatedly pummeled her, even after she was unconscious. Zavala then allegedly fled the stadium and was on the run until he was found and arrested on August 22.
Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala, 23, was arrested on suspicion of assault on August 22, as per Pasadena Police. Charges against Zavala are awaiting review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, as reported by a local news outlet.
