Kanye West's past comments about his daughter's fashion choices have resurfaced as North West continues to stir controversy with her wardrobe.

In new videos on her social media account, the tween sported fake tattoos and piercings, paired with black grillz, bright blue hair, and matching contacts. The clips went viral, sparking outrage and concerns about her dressing inappropriately for her age.

Scores online have now expressed support for her father after he previously echoed concerns himself. For context, earlier this year, the rapper slammed his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, for allowing North to dress "grown." In a tirade on X, he accused her of being a "s*x trafficker," adding:

"I DONT LIKE THAT TWIGS HAS MY DAUGHTER IN HER VIDEO DRESSING ALL GROWN WOULD HAVE EXPECTED MORE FROM TWIGS.” He added, “ITS F**K ALL YOU N****S. MY SOUL IS BLACK. AND WATCH YALL DONT BELIVE ME AND JUST SAY IM CRAZY.”

This past summer, Kim Kardashian and North West made headlines once again when they were spotted on an outing in Rome. At the time, the latter wore a corset, a miniskirt, and platform boots, sparking outrage online. Scores slammed the SKIMS founder for letting her daughter dress up "inappropriately."

During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, however, Kim admitted to making mistakes in her parenting style as she navigates it. The reality star also shares kids Psalm, 6, Saint, 9, and Chicago, 7, with Kanye West.

“I think like, any mom of a teenager or a preteen, unless you’ve been here, like, please ― we just need a little bit of grace,” she explained. “It’s interesting because all the kids are like wearing the same things, but then my daughter tries to wear it, and then I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again,’” Kardashian explained. “Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

She continued,

“And she’s, you know, usually a girl that dresses like a tomboy most of the time. And she wanted to try something that her friends were wearing and went to the same place that they went to, and they all got these outfits, and then she wears them, and it’s just like, ‘OK, wait, maybe you can’t wear that,’ you know? And so as a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time.”

However, she said that at the end of the day, she knew North was “such a good girl and such a sweet girl.”

“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,'” she added. “You know, it makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her. I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can,” she added.
