Former NBA player, Kwame Hasani Brown, commonly known as Kwame Brown, is in a cheerful mood following former basketball point guard, Gilbert Arenas, and former football tight end Shanon Sharpe's legal conflicts. While Brown is not on the best of terms with either of the athletes, he has shared a controversial relationship with both for different reasons.

Kwame Brown, who was a power forward for the Washington Wizards alongside Arenas back in the day, played 12 seasons in the NBA. Brown, who did not hesitate to show his excitement following Arenas and Sharpe's legal troubles, appeared on a live stream on July 31, 2025, where he celebrated Gilbert's arrest and Shanon's being fired from ESPN.

Gilbert Areanas took the netizens by surprise after he was arrested by federal agents on July 30, 2025, for reportedly being involved in an illegal gambling enterprise at his Encino, Los Angeles, residence, as per Fadeaway World.

According to the New York Times, Areanas has been charged with three counts, including conspiracy to run an illegal gambling enterprise, lying in his statements to federal investigators, and running an illegal gambling business. Arenas could face up to 15 years in jail. Along with Arenas, a suspected high-ranking Israeli crime figure, five other defendants were also arrested by the Justice Department.

Kwame Brown, who shares a problematic relationship with Gilbert Arenas, reacted to his recent arrest during the live stream and roasted him by saying:

"I told people one thing, I said, ‘this n**ga is a stupid motherf*cker, he’s going to self-sabotage. He’s a dummy. And look at this stupid motherf*ck."

Brown continued and added:

"God damn, Gil, you're in the slammer. You’re facing fifteen years, five years on each charge, right? But your dumb**s was playing cards with the Israeli Mob. So now you’re going to have to make a decision. You can’t snitch, because your dumb**s said you’re ‘No Chill Gil’ so you can’t chill. You've got to fight this one out."

Kwame Brown, while talking about snitching on the Israelis, further added:

"Your bit*h**s can’t tell on them Israelis, them motherf**kers got so much money."

During his live stream, Kwame Brown also roasted Shannon Sharpe for getting fired from ESPN for being accused of sexual assault and battery by his former girlfriend, as per USA Today.

ESPN cut ties with the former football star after he settled a $50 million lawsuit related to the case. Brown called out Sharpe in his live stream and said:

"Today is like my motherf*king birthday…. B*tch, you said I was drunk, I don’t even drink… I feel so good… Shannon Sharpe, your big talking-*ss fired. All them motherf*ckers that talk about my momma’s son. Shannon Sharpe, your thick tongue *ss fired."

Kwame Brown has had a controversial relationship with both Gilbert Arenas and Shannon Sharpe for quite some time now. Brown, who played alongside Arenas from 2003 to 2005, as per certain reports, claimed that Gilbert destroyed his career with the Washington Wizards. While their conflicting opinions became public knowledge, both of them used derogatory remarks against each other.

On the other hand, the conflict between Kwame Brown and Shannon Sharpe first began when Kwame took a dig at LeBron James, whom Shannon vigorously defended and always supported. As a result, Sharpe called him a "bust" while ranking him as one of the biggest busts in the history of the NBA. Brown, as he was offended by his remarks, called him out for his career choices.
