Sam Elliot is the newest addition to season 2 of the Landman cast as T.L. Norris, Tommy Norris's (Billy Bob Thornton) estranged father. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kayla Wallace, who plays Rebecca Falcone, a lawyer, shared something interesting about Elliot.She revealed that Sam Elliot always comes to the set early, and is present even if he has no scene to play. In her words:"He never leaves... Even if he's not in a scene, he shows up early to set... He'll find a place to sit — a bench, an apple box, whatever. He's not fussy."She added that the 81-year-old actor is:"Just happy to sit there and be a part of it and watch all of us perform... It's really cool."Colm Feore, who plays Nathan, another attorney in the series, also shared his sentiments about Elliot. He said:"The support, there's really that feeling of a remarkable ensemble, a company of support... It does up the [stakes] when you're trying not to suck, right?"What did Sam Elliot say about being a part of season 2 of Landman?During a previous interview with PEOPLE before the season premiere of Landman, Sam Elliot called being a part of the neo-Western drama series, a "real gift."He added:"That's my favorite word in relation to all of this stuff — whether it's this show or anything else that Taylor does, basically... Having an opportunity to work with Billy again — we've only worked [together] briefly, a couple of times — and this time we're in deep, and it's just a treat to go to work and be with him."He also spoke about how easy it was for him to agree and join Landman. He was asked by the creator of the series to take up the part of T.L. Norris. Elliot said:"I hadn't worked since 1883, actually," he referred to the 2021 Yellowstone prequel series, where he worked with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.Sam Elliot continued:"I talked to Taylor and he said, 'I'm going to put your ass back to work.' I said, 'Okay, send me something.' He sent me something and I said, 'Okay, I'm all in.'"
