Professional boxer Devin Haney seemingly responded to Leena Sayed’s post about fatherhood. This goes back to Sayed’s Instagram story, where she shared a post that expressed confusion and disbelief over how some people could have children but go through life acting as if those children did not exist.
Now, Haney has shared a series of Instagram stories, which seemed to be a response to Sayed’s Instagram story. He wrote:
“Stop using kids to control men.. Or as a come up! The kids don't deserve that. I never acted like my kid didn't exist.. I fight to see my baby! My child's mothers won't let me see my baby unless I threaten to cut her money off & im tired of having to pay to see my child everytime.”
Devin Haney went on:
“I am going about it the right way through the courts so that it's organized & I can see my baby more then 1 time a month when she needs her bills paid.”
Devin Haney shared that he had avoided posting about the situation online because it looked bad, but he felt the need to speak up to defend himself. He said he was no longer in a relationship with his child's mother, but he still supported her out of respect for her role in their child’s life.
However, he felt that Leena Sayed was letting her issues with him affect their daughter by keeping him away from her. In another story, he wrote:
“I don't care bout who she with or what she doing.. all I care bout is my daughter I want my daughter on my terms not hers..”
Leena Sayed countered Devin Haney’s allegations against her
Devin Haney also said he had provided everything for his child's mother, including supporting her financially. He mentioned that she spent her time taking photos while he worked hard to provide for their daughter.
He emphasized that he did everything for his child and didn’t want anyone to question his commitment as a father. The boxer wrote:
“This girl is so bitter she didn’t even give my daughter my last name.”
Meanwhile, Leena Sayed responded to Devin Haney’s statements in an Instagram story, writing:
“I have never told Devin that he can't see his child. It's not my fault that he asks to see her once a month and he knows this. I reach out to him and ask him if he misses her or wants to see her..I send him pictures and videos daily... he don't even ask for it or ask about her.”
Leena Sayed shared that it hurt her to see their daughter growing up without her father involved. She said she was raising the child on her own with no support and never stopped him from being part of their daughter’s life.
She mentioned that even when their baby was only two months old and she felt uneasy, she still let Devin Haney take her to his place, despite having no communication or updates because he had her blocked.
Leena Sayed also accused Devin of being dishonest online and said he had refused to sign their child’s birth certificate, which she claimed she could prove through text messages.
