Victoria Jones, the late daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, was supposed to sign a plea deal that demanded her sobriety. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Jones was supposed to appear in court on January 20. However, she passed away 19 days before her court date. At the time of her death, she was only 34 years old.

Victoria Jones had a rocky relationship with the law and has been involved in a few run-ins over the years. Last year, in April, she was arrested in relation to unlawful possession of cocaine. However, she resisted arrest and was given the plea deal mentioned above.

TMZ was the first to break the news about Victoria's death. They revealed that she was found in her room in Fairmont San Francisco. According to the dispatch audio, there was suspicion that her passing might be related to an overdose.

Her family shared a statement a day after her passing. They wrote:

"We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you."

What happened to Victoria Jones in April 2025?

According to TMZ, back in April last year, Victoria Jones had accidentally called the police in Napa. They decided to do a welfare check on her when they noticed a white residue on her tongue. Although she was fine, the officers mentioned that she was speaking really fast and was:

"fighting with her body movements."

She eventually admitted to using cocaine, and when the officers tried to arrest her, she resisted, which led to the plea deal.

According to the legal documents attained by TMZ, they revealed that if Jones had pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and possessing narcotics, the charge of her being under the influence would be dropped.

In addition to this, she would have to stop using drugs and be on probation for an entire year. She would also have to agree to random testing. Jones would have to attend a program that involves counseling, and also pay for the program, including any fines related to her charges.

Before Victoria Jones passed away, she was already dealing with legal problems and was required to stay sober as part of a plea deal. Sadly, she passed away before her court date could take place. Her death is still under investigation by the San Francisco Police and the Medical Examiner's Office. Her family has asked for privacy during this difficult time as they mourn her loss. Victoria is survived by her father, mother, and brother, Austin.
