Matt Rife was doing more than just telling jokes; he was building an empire. As Forbes noted, the comedian made it onto their Top Creators list for 2025 and was estimated to be worth around $50 million.
Before he became a household name, Matt Rife started on the stand-up circuit. According to The Richest, it wasn’t long before he landed a role on Anger Management, giving his career a significant boost. But his real financial gains came from outside TV; he invested wisely in real estate, went on successful comedy tours, and cashed in on social media.
His presence on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube was more than just for laughs. With a following in the millions, Rife secured high-value partnerships where brands paid top dollar for each sponsored post. His ability to weave these promotions into his content gave him an edge in a crowded influencer space.
Matt Rife takes over Ed and Lorraine Warren’s haunted museum:

Matt Rife, best known for his stand-up comedy, revealed a lesser-known passion this week: his deep interest in the paranormal. On Friday, August 1, the comedian took to TikTok to announce that he and YouTube creator Elton Castee had “officially purchased” the former home and museum of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the renowned paranormal investigators.
According to People, the acquisition included the Warrens’ entire haunted collection, famously linked to horror films like The Conjuring and Annabelle. Rife described the collection as “the most important and prominent piece of paranormal history in the world,” noting that Ed and Lorraine Warren helped bring ghost hunting and demonology into the mainstream.
“This might be the most important and prominent piece of paranormal history in the world, Ed and Lorraine Warren are who took demonology and ghost hunting and paranormal investing and made it mainstream.” Rife shared.
Although the duo now manages the Monroe, Connecticut home and its 750 haunted artifacts, Rife clarified that their ownership is not permanent.
“I must go on record and say we do not legally own the items, but we are the legal guardians and caretakers of the items for at least the next five years,” he explained
Matt Rife, clearly passionate about the paranormal, didn’t limit his news to just one platform. He also posted on Instagram, sharing his personal connection to the acquisition.
“If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with the paranormal and all things haunted. You also may know The Conjuring films are my favorite scary movies of all time. So I’m incredibly honored to have taken over one of the most prominent properties in paranormal history,” he told followers.
He closed the post with a promise of access:
“We plan to open the house for overnight stays and museum tours so you yourself can experience and learn all the haunted history surrounding this amazing place.”
The museum, officially called the Warrens’ Occult Museum, used to open to the public, but The Hollywood Reporter noted it was closed in 2019 due to zoning issues. Lorraine Warren managed the site until her death later that year at age 92.
Matt Rife reaches new heights in comedy with Madison Square Garden show sellouts:
While juggling his new role as caretaker of a haunted museum, Matt Rife stayed fully dedicated to his comedy career. As reported by Entertainment Now, he was also traveling on the road with his latest stand-up tour, the Stay Golden Tour, his biggest live tour yet.
Rife shared on Instagram one of his proudest accomplishments: selling out two shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The milestone not only marked a career high but also earned him a place in the record books.
“TWO SOLD OUT SHOWS at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN! New York City, I can’t even begin to thank you enough for this dream come true, It doesn’t really get much bigger than this for a comedian, so to accomplish this feat as the youngest comedian to ever do it feels so surreal, and I’m so beyond thankful!” he wrote
Reflecting on his journey, Rife added,
“I’ve literally performed at shows in the city for 2 people…so this is truly amazing!”
