Meghan Trainor is pushing back against the trolls. In her recent appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show, the pop star opened up about how criticism of her post-pregnancy weight loss has hit her harder than expected.
For the past year, the "All About That Bass" singer has been working on her fitness and has since lost 60lbs during her journey. Unfortunately, as she prioritizes her health, Meghan Trainor has also been receiving barbed comments on social media. She revealed on the show:
"It felt like a flame lit off, and I was just getting attacked by so many mean comments."

The "Made You Look" songstress added that while mean comments don't usually affect her, she revealed that the ones she had received following her weight loss were "confusing" and "broke my heart."
"I don't get a lot of mean comments or I don't look at them and they don't faze me, but these ones were like, so aggressive. And were like, 'You are the 'bass' girl, why are you thin now?' And just attacking me. And I was like, 'I'm taking care of myself and trying to live forever because I'm a mom of two young kids.'"
Meghan Trainor criticized for weight loss despite assistance from professionals
This isn't the first time for the singer to speak out on the criticism of her weight loss. Earlier this month, during her Entertainment Tonight interview, Meghan Trainor reflected on the comments online targeted at her.
"The the world's getting crazier and meaner, and they're louder. I'm literally for the first time ever, after having babies, taking care of my health to the highest level and I've never felt better and I look incredible. I feel great. And that's when people attack me? I'm like, 'What?'"
She went on:
"I'm like, wait a second, I'm taking care of myself. You don't like it? Okay, what am I supposed to do? I have to find a way to not be affected by that."

The singer revealed that her weight loss journey included assistance from a dietician and a trainer to oversee her improvements. Sadly, in spite of having professionals involved, Meghan Trainor still received criticism.
Nevertheless, there's no stopping the mom of one from a healthier path. She shared:
"If I'll sit there and cry about something, my husband's the first to be like, 'Look up... Your life rocks.' Or if I'm comparing myself, he's like, 'Oh, they don't have Barry and Riley.' I'm like, 'You right.'"
Meghan Trainor is slated to release her 7th full album, Toy With Me, in April 2026. She will also hit the road with her The Get In Girl tour in June of the same year.
