WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has reportedly severed ties with the WWE over its affiliation with President Trump.

Foley made headlines earlier today when he voiced his frustrations with WWE and the TKO Group for supporting the incumbent president. He took to Instagram to detail why he's leaving the company in a scathing statement that began:

"PARTING WAYS WITH WWE."

The former professional wrestler, actor, author, and comedian reportedly boasts $8 million, Celebrity Net Worth has reported. He made his big break in the early '90s when he joined World Championship Wrestling, and by 1996, he signed with the World Wrestling Federation, a.k.a. WWE. During his time with them, he was known as Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love.

In his statement on Instagram, Mick Foley said:

"While I have been concerned about WWE‘s close relationship with Donald Trump for several months — especially in light of his administration’s ongoing cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and pretty much anyone who “looks like an immigrant”) — reading the President’s incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me."

He continued,

"I no longer wish to represent a company that coddles a man so seemingly void of compassion as he marches our country towards autocracy. Last night, I informed @WWE talent relations that I would not be making any appearances for the company as long as this man remains in office."

In concluding his statement, he asserted that he will "not be signing a new Legends deal when my current one expires in June."

"I love WWE, will always treasure my time with them, and I am deeply appreciative for all the opportunities they afforded me. But, in the words of Popeye the sailor, “I stands all I can stands, and I can’t stands no more,'" he said.

As of this writing, the WWE has yet to issue a statement. Mick Foley's statement comes days after Trump took to his Truth Social platform to weigh in on the murders of Michele and Rob Reiner. In a statement, he alleged that the director

died “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.” Trump continued, “He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”

As for Mick Foley, although he retired from the ring in 2012, he has been serving in various roles in the years since. He was also inducted into the Hall of Fame back in 2013.
