The restaurant opened its doors on December 13, 2025.

While speaking to Rolling Stone about the restaurant, Mulholland said,

"We wanted to open 40 LOVE in Scottsdale because the city deserves a concept that feels truly distinctive - a place where fine dining, elevated beverages, and a refined lounge atmosphere come together under one roof. We're creating a high-end, country club inspired experience that complements the sophistication of the area while offering something completely new."

He went on to add,

"Scottsdale is growing fast, and it deserves a destination that matches its energy - refined, stylist, and culturally relevant. We're building a space where great food, great people, and great moments all meet."
