The billionaire took to X to spin a claim that the antagonist, commonly known as Buffalo Bill, in the iconic film was transgender. The post went viral quickly, prompting replies from scores online. "Silence of the Lambs was literally about a trans serial killer who wanted to become a woman by wearing their skin …" he wrote. Elon Musk's relationship with his transgender daughter explored amid anti-trans rhetoric: In his tweet on X, Elon Musk cited a 1988 study that examined a small sample of 13 murderers. It touted a pattern of gender dysphoria and cross-dressing among them. However, the people behind the film have reportedly denied these claims, asserting that Buffalo Bill was not meant to represent someone from the transgender community. Nonetheless, Elon Musk, who is well on his way to becoming the world's richest trillionaire, has long been vocal about his anti-trans rhetoric.
