A new biography has reignited royal tensions by claiming that Prince Harry physically attacked his uncle, Prince Andrew, over allegedly insulting remarks about Meghan Markle. The biography titled, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, by Andrew Lownie also mentions Andrew's widely reported fall from grace.
A spokesperson representing Prince Harry, however, later released a statement through The Daily Beast denying all allegations in the book.

According to The Daily Beast, the book, now being published in The Daily Mail, claims that Prince Harry attacked his uncle, leaving him with a "bloody nose," after Andrew made insulting remarks about Meghan Markle. Harry has denied the allegations.
What did Prince Andrew allegedly say about Meghan Markle?
According to Lowie's book, the heated confrontation took place during a family reunion in 2013. Prince Andrew allegedly made disparaging remarks about Prince Harry behind his back, causing Harry to refer to his uncle as a "coward" before fists were thrown. According to the biography, Harry "got the better of" Andrew during the brawl, leaving the Duke of York with a bloody nose.
According to Lownie's book, the rift between the two widened after Andrew expressed strong disapproval of Megan Markle, who was to be wed to Harry. According to the biography, Andrew called Meghan Markle an "opportunist" and predicted that the marriage would end within a month, even suggesting that she was "too old" for Harry. He apparently warned Harry that it would be the "biggest mistake" of his life and called him "bonker" for not thoroughly examining Meghan's past.
Per the book, a source revealed to Lownie:
"Harry later told William that he hated Andrew.”
A spokesperson for Prince Harry released a statement through The Daily Beast that stated:
“I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.”
Allegations against Andrew
The biography reveals a number of unsettling allegations about Prince Andrew's personal life, including his personal life, including his relationship with convicted s*x criminal Jeffrey Epstein. The book portrays Andrew as a guy with a ravenous s*xual desire and an addiction to humiliation.
The Daily Beast reported that Epstein told his friends that:
“We are both serial s*x addicts. He’s the only person I have met who is more obsessed with p---y than me.”
He added:
“From the reports I’ve got back from the women we’ve shared, he’s the most p*rv*rted animal in the bedroom. He likes to engage in stuff that’s even ki*ky to me - and I’m the king of ki*k!”
Ivan Novikov, who was the driver for Epstein, said that the Duke of York would avail his services whenever he was in New York. He said:
“Whenever Andrew was in town, I’d be picking up young girls who were essentially pr*stitutes. One time I drove him and two young girls aged around age 18 to a hotel. Both girls were doing lines of cocaine. Prince Andrew was making out with one of them.”
The book also cites Emma Gruenbaum, who claims that the Duke of York was s*xually inappropriate. Gruenbaum claimed that the prince would be naked during the massage sessions and once told her:
“Hey, nice a**e. Do you take it up the a**e?”
A Reuters journalist reported that during the King of Thailand's diamond jubilee festivities in 2006, around 40 ladies were allegedly brought to Andrew's hotel room in Bangkok. A hotel staff member claimed:
“Often, as soon as one left, another would arrive.”
Even former Prime Minister Boris Johnson is quoted in the book as reportedly saying:
“I’m the last person to be a republican but, f***, if I ever have to spend another lunch like that, I soon will be.”
A fall from grace
Prince Andrew's fall accelerated after Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17 and being trafficked by Epstein. In 2021, US attorney Gloria Allred, who has represented multiple Epstein survivors, accused Buckingham Palace of diverting public attention away from Andrew by focusing on Meghan Markle instead. According to a report in The Guardian from March 2021, she said:
“Why does Buckingham Palace not conduct an investigation and make a public statement condemning Prince Andrew for failing to provide what is requested to those who are seeking the whole truth and justice for the victims of crimes against children? Why has Prince Andrew not been stripped of the royal titles that he enjoys, as has been the case for Meghan Markle and Harry? He has certainly not brought dignity and respect to his work as a royal."
She added:
“The investigation into Meghan Markle is a distraction, and it appears hypocritical under the circumstances. I have to wonder if it reflects a calculated decision to take the focus off of Prince Andrew."
Despite his constant denials of the allegations, he resolved the civil case out of court in 2022 for an unknown price.
Queen Elizabeth II, shortly before her death, had stripped him of all royal patronages and military titles, as well as removing him from public royal responsibilities.
The book paints a damning picture of Prince Andrew's fall from grace, although Prince Harry has denied all claims about Meghan Markle being badmouthed and an ensuing physical altercation.
