Connie Francis, the voice behind TikTok's resurfaced popular song, Pretty Little Baby has the record for the most performances by a female performer at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas. Francis was a headlining act at major Las Vegas venues like The Sahara Hotel and The Stardust.

Francis passed away on July 15 at 87, as per a Facebook post by her longtime friend and president of her label, Ron Roberts. Ron took to Facebook on July 16, saying,

"It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news. More details will follow later."

Francis had earlier been hospitalized for "extreme pain" but had taken to Facebook on July 4 that she was "feeling much better after a good night."

Singer and actress Connie Francis was the first woman to have a No. 1 hit in the U.S with her 1960 song, Everybody Somebody's Fool. Her 1962 hit, Pretty Little Baby has recently become a viral sensation on TikTok. The song resulted in over 30 million new streams of the song, and entered Spotify's global and U.S charts. It also reached the top five of iTunes' U.S pop songs chart. Celebs such as Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian posted videos lip-syncing to the song.

In June, while speaking to People Magazine, Connie expressed her surprise for the song's sudden hit,

"To tell you the truth, I didn't even remember the song. I had to listen to it to remember. To think that a song I recorded 63 years ago is touching the hearts of millions of people is truly awesome. It is an amazing feeling."

In Spring, 1958, Francis' version of Who's Sorry Now, rose to No. 4 on Billboard's Top 100 chart. Her My Happiness track, became the singer's first top 10 song, and reached No.2 in January 1959. In 1960, Francis made her big-screen debut in Where the Boys Are. In 1977, Francis became the first female solo artist to have a No 1 album in Britain. She also became the first female singer of the modern pop era to score three US No 1 singles.

Connie Francis was also recognized as the most successful female artist in countries including Germany, Japan, the UK, Italy, and Australia. Francis received a Golden Globe for her international contribution to the recording world in 1964. Francis was also nominated four times for the Laurel Awards .
