Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., professionally known as T.I. has filed a new defamation suit against former friend Sabrina Peterson. The lawsuit comes three years after Peterson had sued the rapper accusing him of serious allegations.
It all began with a 2021 Instagram post, where Sabrina accused T.I. of pulling a gun on her in front of her kids. She alleged that he threatened to kill her.
"@troubleman31 you PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD IN FRONT OF CHILDREN & I NEVER CALLED THE POLICE ON YOU! But for years you have painted me as the VILLAIN!" She wrote in her post.
After the claims were made public in 2021, they became the central part of the ongoing dispute between T.I. and Sabrina Peterson. Reports stated that many women DMed her claiming of how they suffered abuse from T.I. and Tiny.
Additionally, she insinuated that T.I. and his wife, Tiny were involved in drugging and s*xually abusing multiple women. Reports had stated that Sabrina Peterson sued T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris in 2021 for defamation and invasion of privacy.
Tiny responded by posting a picture of her eight-year-old son with T.I. on Instagram and said she should stop harassing her family and get help.
Later, in an Instagram Live, Sabrina Peterson demanded an apology from the couple where she revealed that she would withdraw her defamation lawsuit if they apologised. However, the couple laughed off her request through an Instagram post.
Details of the allegations by Sabrina Peterson
On May 26, 2001, Sabrina Peterson demanded an apology from Tiny and T.I. stating that she would drop the lawsuit if they apologised publicly. She wrote,
“Tell the truth about me. Tell the truth about what you did to me and apologize. I’m gone. I don’t want one dime. I don’t want one dime.” She also gave a time-frame of seven days to the couple to make their apology.
However, T.I. laughed it off by sharing a photo of himself with Ne-Yo, Kevin Hart, and Dave Chappelle laughing with each other. This post was indirectly targeted at Peterson.
Later, Tiny and T.I. issued a joint statement where they denied the allegations levied against them by Sabrina Peterson. They had emphasised that the claims against them were false and unfounded. They added that they took the accusations seriously and would set the record straight. They further stated that they have been dealing with these issues for over a decade and are prepared to take legal action if necessary.
Shekinah Anderson, who is known for her close friendship with Tiny, took to Instagram to defend the couple. She alleged that Peterson had been s*xually involved with T. I. and Tiny.
Subsequently, Sabrina Peterson filed a lawsuit against the couple, including Anderson while T.I. and his wife reportedly denied the allegations and labelled them as false.
Why T.I. has sued Sabrina Peterson?
In the new court documents obtained by TMZ, T.I. has asserted that Sabrina Peterson's statements were “false” and “baseless”, which were aimed at harassing him and his family. This eventually led to the end of their friendship as it had a negative influence on them.
The 44-year-old rapper alleged that Sabrina became “obsessed” with the family and her online behaviour caused irreparable damage to his professional and personal life. This has prompted him to seek unspecified damages, according to a report in TMZ.

He further said that he is not the first individual to be targeted by Peterson’s social media behaviour. He claimed that others have previously sought and obtained legal protection from her over the years.
The latest news comes a week after the trial date of the original case was delayed. It was previously scheduled for December 14 and is now postponed to six months later in 2025.
