Steven Anthony Lawrence is in the news after his recent claims.
The actor known for portraying Bernard "Beans" Aranguren in the 2000 Disney sitcom Even Stevens claimed that he was fired from his job at Universal Studios over reporting a suspected child predator, as per the New York Post.
Lawrence, who also hosted the Even More Stevens Podcast along with former co-stars Nick Spano and Christy Carlson Romano, took to Instagram on January 3, 2026, and broke the news of his termination from the Universal Studios theme park after he reported a suspected pedophile.
After no episodes were released during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, Lawrence's podcast was eventually discontinued.
Steven Anthony Lawrence has also starred in other TV shows such as That's So Raven, Frasier, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and more. After getting fired, in his January 3 Instagram post, he wrote:
"I delayed posting this for about a month because I was hoping we could find some sort of amicable solution because I absolutely loved performing and dancing with all you amazing people."
Lawrence went ahead and wrote:
"It is with a heavy heart I have to announce that my time with Universal Studios has ended because my Boss @vonblonde and her H.R. representative [email protected] wants to retaliate for reporting a suspected pedophile around children."
He continued:
"While I truly miss my job I cannot be associated with an organization or people that don't care about performer or guest safety while numerous people continue to get hurt."
Steven Anthony Lawrence concluded his post by writing:
"With what I know, I WILL NEVER ALLOW MY KID TO GO TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD. Be safe everyone."
