American actor and writer Sheridan Taylor Gibler Jr, commonly known as Taylor Sheridan, has plans to exit Paramount as he signed a brand-new deal with NBCUniversal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, the 55-year-old Sheridan, who is also a director and producer, has made a 5-year deal with the network for television, films, and streaming.

Taylor Sheridan, who is widely known for co-creating the extremely popular and highly rated drama show Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner, with John Linson, will begin his collaboration with NBCUniversal on January 1, 2029, after his deal with Paramount ends in 2028. Taylor, who has been married to the American model and actress Nicole Muirbrook Sheridan since 2013, began his Hollywood career as an actor.

Taylor Sheridan has also written and directed shows like 1883 and 1923, which are prequels to Yellowstone. He also worked as a screenplay writer for critically acclaimed films such as David Mackenzie's Hell or High Water and Denis Villeneuve's Sicario. Before becoming a well-established writer and director, Sheridan had appeared in multiple TV shows, such as Walker, Texas Ranger, Sons of Anarchy, and Veronica Mars.

However, amid his potential Paramount exit, Sheridan Taylor's fans are interested in finding out his net worth. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the actor-turned-writer-director's net worth is $100 million.

Taylor Sheridan's decision to exit Paramount comes after the network's latest merger with Skydance.

Another reason for him to quit the network could be Chris McCarthy's exit from the network, who was previously the co-CEO of Paramount Global. In a 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Taylor discussed how he never wants to "compromise" when it comes to his work and storytelling vision. Sheridan said:

"I spent the first 37 years of my life compromising. When I quit acting, I decided that I am going to tell my stories my way, period. If you don't want me to tell them, fine. Give them back and I'll find someone who does - or I won't, and then I'll read them in some freaking dinner theater. But I won't compromise. There is no compromising."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, while Taylor Sheridan strikes a new deal with NBCUniversal, he will have to create a new IP for the network, as Paramount will continue to have the rights to Yellowstone and other shows he created for the company.
