More about Victoria Goodwin and her hire-for-murder plot
Victoria Goodwin was arrested on March 6 on "charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder." She was reportedly messaging Florida inmate Grant Amato (whom she contacted after seeing him in a documentary) about wanting to leave her marriage and allegedly plotting to have her husband killed. Amato is serving a life sentence for killing his parents and brother.
According to US Weekly, the messages between Victoria and Amato allegedly include information about Aaron's whereabouts while filming Ghost Adventures, payment information, and Victoria asking whether she is "a bad person" for trying to "end" her husband instead of divorcing. The plot came to light after Florida corrections officers seized Amato's cellphone.
Though Victoria initially denied the accusations against her, on April 12, she entered a guilty plea, and documents were filed on April 15. She pleaded guilty to the charge of conspiracy to commit murder. As part of her plea deal, the charge of soliciting to commit murder was dropped.
