As Daniel Curtis Lee sets out to do his best to help out fellow former child star Tylor Chase, his plan ends up backfiring. After finding out the condition of the Ned's Declassified alum, Daniel decided to set him up in a hotel room, an idea that was discouraged by Chase's family due to past experiences.
Daniel came on social media today to give an update on the situation and revealed that within a few hours of situating Tylor at the hotel, he tore the place up. The hotel described the condition of the room, saying the door to the room was wide open, the microwave was in the tub, and the fridge was flipped over.
But instead of giving up on his fellow former star, he has reached out asking what else can be done, as well as slamming the state of California for not providing the right kind of support.
Daniel Curtis Lee speaks on Tylor Chase situation
Curtis had recently reunited with his former co-star, after he himself reached out to him after seeing the viral video of Chase.
Daniel Curtis Lee shared in an Instagram video, "I just wanted to give you an update. Shaun Weiss and his team put a lot of effort into trying to get him into a hospital last night—and I thought it worked. His dad told me it worked, but it turns out he kind of backed out."
Referring to Mighty Duck's Shaun Weiss, who has a room at a rehab facility waiting for Tylor in San Clemente.
Lee added, "So, today I went to have pizza with him. Also, I got to let him chat with his old friend Devon Werkheiser. He trusted an old friend. He wanted to stay local, and this was the only one that was open."
Daniel Curtis Lee had also shared with TMZ how, "It is heartbreaking to see him this way. My only hope is that from this exposure, someone with real understanding and resources can step in, get Tylor into treatment, and help him get back on track."
The Nickelodeon actor had driven about 50 miles from Los Angeles to Riverside to get Tylor a motel right before a heavy rainstorm.
