Podcaster and influencer Alix Earle launched the trailer for a new version of Hot Mess With Alix Earle. She has previously hosted the podcast under the banner of fellow podcaster Alex Cooper, host of Call Me Daddy’s.
Hot Mess was earlier produced under Cooper’s Unwell Network, which signed the podcaster to its banner in 2023. In February 2025, reports speculating on a rift between Cooper and Earle emerged when the latter was noticeably absent from the Unwell Super Bowl party. On February 25, Variety reported that Earle’s Hot Mess had been “dropped” by Unwell Network, which gave up all rights to the podcast.
In March, Earle addressed the situation and posted a TikTok announcing that she had put a hold on the popular podcast. People Magazine noted that Earle, during her TikTok, said:
“I have to put a pause on podcasting now for the foreseeable future…I’ve loved [podcasting] so much. I’m really proud of what I built with the podcast. Those of you who come back every week and listen and watch, I love you so much.”

People Magazine reported that while explaining that she would continue to release content in the form of vlogs, Alix Earle said,
“There won't be a lack of content, it's just going to look a little different. There’s been a lot going on over the past month. Although [it's not] an ideal situation right now, we are going to have a good time, and I'm a big believer in 'everything happens for a reason.’”
What Alix Earle said about the renewed Hot Mess
In a newly released video on her YouTube channel, Alix Earle opened up about the new form in which Hot Mess will be available to audiences. Introducing the renewed Hot Mess, Earle said:
“This is just basically a little intro to Hot Mess, what's to come, what to expect. So this is no longer going to be a traditional podcast. It's going to be very video forward. I keep calling it a vlogcast. I'm not even sure if that's a thing. And then maybe it's just like Hot Mess, the show.”

While sharing with fans that Hot Mess will be available on platforms such as YouTube as well as Spotify, Earle said:
“So Hot Mess is going to be on my Alex Earle YouTube channel. And it's also going to be on the Hot Mess channel on Spotify, because I know that there's so many of you guys—my Earle girls, I love you guys dearly—who come back and listen to Hot Mess every single week or you did for the past year and a half and putting a pause on the podcast was not an easy thing.”
Speaking about the vlogs she released after putting a hold on the Hot Mess podcast, Earle said,
“Everything does happen for a reason. So while [the podcast] was on pause, I started vlogging on YouTube.”
After showing clips from her recent vlogs, Earle discussed the evolution of her content, and added:
“I knew I wanted to give you guys the weekly content, more behind-the-scenes of my life, just getting to connect with you guys, but I was like, you know what, I’ll just try out something else right now. So I just started vlogging and it’s something I, like, wanted to test out for a while.”
Sharing that she took her fans’ feedback—who felt that the vlog format was better suited to her—Alix Earle said that more content is coming up under the new Hot Mess.
