In her interview with People Magazine, she said:

"My last relationship was pretty public and out there and I’ve kind of got to the point where I’m like, ‘Am I able to keep anything to myself?’ So in this process of dating and going through that again I’ve been trying to keep it more low-key…it’s been tricky, it’s a tough world out there the dating world."

Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko secretly dated for four years before "The Bachelorette" star came out publicly, confirming her relationship with the singer at a party where the pair where seen sharing a kiss. According to People Magazine, the couple was celebrating the release of Kiyoko's single, "For the Girls," when they were seen exchanging a rose, which was followed by sharing a hug and a kiss.

Just one day later, Tilley made their relationship Instagram official by posting a video collage of the couple's sweetest moments.

Later, on her podcast "Scrubbing In With Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad," Tilley revealed what that moment meant for her, adding that she was overwhelmed by the positive responses and good wishes she received after officially coming out. She said:

"Like, I just could have never predicted. I was prepared for anything and everything. I was not prepared for the amount of love and support that we got. Like, I just could have never predicted. I think there's a lot of emotions. I've always felt your support and love. Hayley has really made me feel brave. And she was always like people are gonna love you, people love you, and they want to see you happy.

According to Bachelor Nation, in 2023 Tilley addressed her sexuality during a Q&A session on Instagram. During the session, a fan wanted to know more about her, to which she responded by saying that she was attracted to both men and women. She said:

"I don’t mind you asking! Yes I am. I’m realizing that I’ve always been attracted to both. I don’t think I knew what the attraction towards women meant, so it would be like ‘oh I have a girl crush.’ but isn’t that just a crush on a woman? But it was always Jack AND Rose for me.”

Hayley Kiyoko, in an exclusive interview with People Magazine, previously talked about what this relationship meant for her and how it allowed her to heal a part of herself. She said:

Back in April of this year, Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko revealed during their interview with US Weekly that they were looking forward to a future married life together.
