NFL star Julian Edelman, in a recent interview with People, talked about his former football coach, Bill Belichick, and doubled down by calling his girlfriend, Jordan Hudson, a "distraction."
Renowned American football coach Belichick, who is currently in charge of the North Carolina Tar Heels, had previously coached Edelman for 12 years when he played for the New England Patriots.
The 73-year-old Bill Belichick, who is busy with the current season, once shouted at Edelman for dabbling with "distractions". However, the 39-year-old, NFL wide receiver and return specialist, during his interview with People, took the opportunity to weigh in on Bill Belichick's current romantic relationship with the 24-year-old Jordan Hudson:
"Everyone has their life outside of the sport. What he always told me is that we had to eliminate distractions. So, I don't know. You could take what you want with that."
Edelman further added:
"I remember getting yelled at for being a distraction, so I think we're all in the business of eliminating distractions. That's just from what I learned from him."
With several accolades, including six Super Bowl wins, Bill Belichick is considered to be one of the greatest football coaches of all time. Belichick first met his current girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who is an ex-Bridgewater State University cheerleader, in February 2021, as per People. With a 48-year age gap, the couple made their relationship public in early 2023. Before dating Hudson, Bill Belichick was in a 16-year relationship with Linda Holliday.
Julian Edelman shares his thoughts on Bill Belichick joining the Tar Heels

Edelman also discussed his thoughts on Bill joining the North Carolina Tar Heels as the new coach during his interview with People. Edelman said:
"The first thing that came to my mind, 'They look great in that first drive.' Boy, did they look good. Man, Coach Belichick had them firing on all cylinders. Go down score, and then stop TCU, and then the dam broke and it just became a slaughtering for TCU."
Edelman explained:
"TCU looked like they had a bunch of really good football players, and North Carolina had 70 new players on the roster. That's a lot of players, and they have some catching up to do in that talent department."
While Edelman expressed that it "was exciting" to see his former coach back in action, he said:
"I was watching the game. He did bring everyone's eyeballs to that game. It was good to see him follow up that first week with the win against Charlotte, which he needed to win, but we'll see how he does this week."
