Brit Eady and Michael Cunningham got married during the pandemic, back in 2020. At the time, the couple did not have a wedding reception, and Eady was a little bummed about that. However, five years later, the couple celebrated a second wedding ceremony. During an episode that aired last year, Eady explained why they decided to do a courthouse marriage.

She said:

"Because it was during the pandemic, we went to the courthouse, filed our paperwork, and we just did a zoom saying our vows... I was a little sad about that, but being a wife was way more important."

While they did not have a wedding reception the first time they got married, Brit Eady made sure that the second time was different. She revealed in an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, saying:

"Because I don’t want a huge wedding... I want something that's sexy and glamorous but intimate... My husband is all about making sure I'm that girl. I went from 7-and-a-half carats, and now I have a 10-carat solitary."

Unfortunately, Brit Eady filed for divorce from her husband, Michael. According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Eady filed for divorce last year on December 1. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Brit shared that their marriage is broken and she does not want Michael Cunningham to receive any alimony or spousal support.

According to the documents, TMZ also revealed that the couple only has one shared property, which is their home in Fulton County. In the filing, both Eady and Cunningham have mutually agreed to put the house for sale and divide the proceeds from the sale equally.

Brit Eady also mentioned in the filing that she and Michael would be keeping their respective cars that they have purchased over the course of their marriage.

Even though Brit shared the breakup on social media, she now wants the case to be kept private since they are public figures. She appeared on one season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but did not attend the reunion.

Eady elaborated about how she realized Michael might be the one. It all happened during their first trip to Vegas. She continued:

"We dated, and we went on our first trip to Vegas, and I said, 'Mike, I'll come to Vegas with you, but you not getting none.' When I tell you, we had the best time. I was like, 'Okay, he might be the one.'"
