In Britney's memoir, The Woman In Me, published in 2023, she discusses how she met the actor on the sets of a movie. She also mentioned that she was set up with Farrell through a “club promoter friend.”

After being set up by a friend, Britney Spears flew out to see him while he was filming, and what followed, by her own account, was a whirlwind. As she "had a two-week brawl." She stated,

"Brawl is the only word for it—we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight."

Recently Britney talked about her fling with Colin Farrell in a video shared on Instagram. With a glass of mimosa within reach, the Grammy winner worked the camera, flipping her blonde hair back and forth while trying to nail the perfect shot. Spears said,

"Last time I wore an actual nightgown out was a La Perla nightgown at a premiere with Colin Farrell, I wonder why conservatorship had me wear three layers of tights for 20 years hmmm ???"

Two decades later, Britney Spears revisited moments from her past, though not all memories lined up perfectly. In her memoir The Woman in Me, the singer recounted her appearance at the 2003 premiere of The Recruit, writing,

“In the course of our fun time together, [Farrell] took me to the premiere of a spy thriller he was in called The Recruit with Al Pacino.”

In a candid moment reflecting on her style choices, Britney Spears shared a surprising detail about what she wore to Colin Farrell’s premiere years ago.

"I wore a pajama top. I thought it was a real shirt because it had miniature studs on it but I see the photos and I think, "Yeah, I definitely wore a full-blown pajama top to Colin Farrell’s premiere." she shared.

Before her fling with Colin, Britney shared that she was only trying to move on and heal from her breakup with Justin Timberlake. In a report shared by Time Magazine in 2023, the singer explained that she wasn’t completely over Justin Timberlake when she attended the premiere of Farrell’s movie, The Recruit, in 2003.

"As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet.” she explained.
