Long-time MMA champion Conor McGregor has shared an update on his comeback match at the White House next year.
During a recent conversation with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Wednesday, the former two-division UFC champion shared a small detail about his match, set for summer 2026.
"Done deal, signed, delivered," Conor McGregor remarked. "It ain't a negotiation, it's a done deal, signed, delivered. McGregor will compete in the White House for America's 250th birthday."
Conor McGregor, who was convicted of r*pe this past July, last had a bout at the Octagon over four years ago. His last match followed a string of consecutive losses to Dustin Poirier, followed by him shattering the bones in his leg in the cage. He was expected to make a comeback in Ireland last year, but had to retract due to a toe injury that came weeks ahead of the main event.
Everything we know about Conor McGregor's comeback bout at the White House next year:
Sportsnet has reported that Dana White has yet to corroborate Conor McGregor's claims, though the Irish native also added that the two have been consistently speaking.
"[We're] in constant communication, we've done incredible business together. I'm the highest-generating fighter of all time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. They've just signed a breathtaking deal with Paramount where we're going to cable tv. $7.7 billion that deal! I'm ready to rock baby, bring in the big dog, the Mac!"
The UFC featherweight and lightweight champion announced his comeback match on September 12. During an appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast the following week, she confirmed that she was speaking with McGregor "nonstop."
"He and I have been talking nonstop," White said. "And he's like, 'I'm dead serious. I want this. You know, I'm training. I'm back in the pool. I'm doing all this s--t.' So, we'll see. We still have a long way to go [until June]. We still have a long way to go until February until we start making these cards, so we'll see how it plays out."
Bleacher Report has reported that late last month, McGregor demanded $100 million in exchange for engaging in the match. He recently reiterated that Michael "Iron Mike" Chandler was still his preferred opponent.
As of this writing, Conor McGregor boasts a record of 22-6-0 as a pro and remains one of the biggest draws in MMA. He reportedly headlined five of the highest-selling UFC PPV events of all time.
